*. Installing conditions
,.,,proper installation may damage the copier. Please note the following during initial installation and whenever the copier is moved.
CAUTION:
Be sure to allow the required spacearound the machine for servicing and proper ventilation.
If the copier is moved from a cool place to a warm place. condensation may form inside the copier. Operation in this condition will cause poor copy quality and malfunctions. Leave the copier at mom temperature for at least 2 hours before se.
A small amount of ozone is produced withln the copier during operation. The emission level IS insufficient to cause any health hazard NOTE: The present recommended long term exposure limit for ozone is 0.1 ppm (0.2 mg/m3) calculated as an 8 hr. Timeweighted average concentration. However, since the small amount that IS emitted may have an ob]ecbonable odor, it is advisable to place the copier in a ventrlated area.
CAUTIONS
ON HANDLING
Be careful in handling the copier as follows to malntar the performance of this copter.
l
Do not drop the copier, subject it to shock or strike it against any object.
poorly ventilated
subject to extreme temperature or humid@ changes, e.g., near an air conditioner or heater.
Store spare supplies such es drum cartridges and TD cartridges in a dark place without removing from the package before se.
If they are exposed to direct sunlight, smudges on copies may result.

mode
cclntent During the coy mode, print data is received but not accepted. After completion of copying, print IS automatically performed. Laster Image data from the host IS printed. There are the pre-heat mode and the power shut down mode. In the pre-heat mode, fusing temperature is lowered. In the power shut down mode, all the sections excluding the control circuit are stopped. This mode is used for servicing (various setting, adjustments, and checking of the operations). Used to set the operating specifications according to users need.
(3) Relationship
between the power save mode and the display and machine operations
The power save mode is of two steps: the pre-heat mode and the power shut down mode. 1. Self diag message and troubleshooting
D. Self diag operation
(1) Self diag operation and flow of countermeasures The machlns is always watching its stats. When the machine detects a trouble, it stops the operaton and dlsplays a trouble message. The warning message is made when a consumable part life is near end or expired When a warning message is made, there are two cases: where the machine and where the mschlne IS not stopped. wfh Trouble and warnmg messages are made by LED and lamps, at the display section, and the hosts display section. The display form and the display posrtion differ depending on the machine specifications. Trouble messages are cleared automatically attsr repanng them or must be cleared by test commands. Warning messages for consumable parts are automatically cleared when the consumable part is supplied or must be cleared by the dlag
A. Outline Whena trouble occur*in the machine or whenthe life of a consumable part is approached or expired, the machine detects it by itself and displays it an the display section or notifies the user and the seruceman by voices, allowing the user and the serviceman to take proper measures In case of a trouble, the occurrence of the trouble is notlflsd and the machine is stopped to minimize damages.
2) Minimizing the machine damages. (The machine is stopped simultaneously with detectlon of a trouble.) 3) The tmuble content is displayed to identify the trouble position at an early stags. vhs prsc~ss repair work is allowed and the repair efficiency is improved.) 4) Warning of near end of consumable part life allows arrangement of the consumable part in advance.
