TASK 1 SOFTWARE INNOVATIONS

Step 1 : Kind of task : problem task Step 2 : Main problem : Analyze whether tony oliver action is an ethical manner or not ,and give solution to chiana in developing their systems . Step 3 : Kind of method : brainstorming Step 4 : Sub Problems: 1. Do you think that Tony Oliveri and his firm have handled the situation in an ethical manner from a rights or justice point of view? 2. What would you have done if you were in Tony Oliveris position and Software Innovations told you that it did not want to release its financial statements to your consulting client, the state of Chiana? Step 5 : Learning objectives : 1 . Understanding what is ethical manner 2 . Able to classified an action belongs to an ethical manner or not

3 . Understanding ethical manner issue in certain problem .

Step 6 : Solving Problems: 1. Before we judge the Tony Oliveri and his firms action in handled the situation in an ethical manner from a rights or justice point of view or not, we should understand the meaning of rights and justice ethics first. Justice is the ideal, morally correct state of things and persons. So if we see from the text we could understand that tony oliver and his firm is not fair for another three vendors because another vendors can not get their right to win the tender of State of Chianas hardware in proper manner. This could happened because Toni Oliveri and his firm decide to choose Congruence as the software for their client. Thus, only one vendor that could complete all the requirements. We think that Toni Oliveri and his firm did not act fairy because at the beginning they were not giving specific software to be used in propesed hardware in the request proposals for computer hardware that Toni Oliveri and his firm made for Stateof Chiana, but after four vendors had been chosen, there was one more requirement that they made (use congruence software) that made those three vendors will automatically fail if Tonis recommendation to use Congruence has been approved by his client. Moreover, we know that a right is an individuals entitlement to something, and also can be the consequences of moral standards. If we see from state of chiana rights this is are an ethical manner cause,

in this case Toni Oliveri already do his obligation well, and the government already agree with recommendation from tony which means that theyre satisfied with Toni and his firms performance . But if we see from another side especially from another vendor side, its not an ethical manner for them, because they not have fair assessment in tender competition, except if in the beginning they already inform about congruence system that use by the government .

2. If we are in tony position, we would give a recommendation to

considering our first recommendation to use software innovations as The State of Chiana vendor, and try to find another alternative way which they like, because to evaluate the vendor is capable or not is important do future purpose, so the client should evaluate the financial condition and stability of the vendor which can be examined thrugh vendors financial statements.
