to identify the rooms of the house; to aquire new terms regarding the things around a house; to review the previous vocabulary related to: numbers, colors, family members, school objects; to promote enjoyment and intellectual stimulation;

1. Starting the lesson Aim: -to introduce pupils into the English class atmosphere; -to mark the absents; Procedure: Teacher greets the class politely and makes sure pupils understand her by adapting her speaking to their level. Teacher does her best to create a relaxed atmosphere, using a pleasant tone of voice and being friendly. Interaction: T-Ss Time: 2 min. 2. Warming-up Aim: -to prepare the pupils for the lesson; -to get pupils attention; Procedure: The teacher throws a ball and asks the pupils a few ordinary questions: How are you today? What is the weather like today? What day is today? How old are you? Where do you live? Interaction: T-Ss, S-S Time: 3 min.
3. Revising the previous knowledge

Aim: -to consolidate the terms associated with each member of a family; -to review the vocabulary related to numbers, colors ,school objects; Procedure: Teacher shows to the students the flashcards with the family members. Pupils name the persons in the images.( Individual and all together). Song: My family Teacher shows different objects from the classroom and asks: Whats this? What color is the pencil? How many pencils are there on the desk?

Teacher writes the numbers from 110 on the blackboard. Pupils repeat the numbers one time in chorus. One pupil comes to the blackboard and he is asked to cross the number he hears from another classmate. Poems related to numbers. Interaction: T-Ss, S-S Time: 8 min. 4. Lead in Aim: -to introduce the topic/ to set the context; Procedure: The teacher asks the pupils: Where does a family live? Pupils will answer: In a house. The teacher continues: Today, well learn which are the rooms of a house and what things we can find in each of them. Later well find out some activities that we can do in each room of the house. Interaction: T- Ss Time: 2 min. 5. Presentation: Activity 1: Listening- Speaking Aims: -to introduce the new words to the students: kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom. Procedure: The teacher will concentrate on four rooms of a house: kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom. The teacher will show to the students the flashcards with each room, she will give the English term and pupils will repeat it in chorus and individual. Interaction: T- Ss Time: 8 min. Activity 2: Listening- Speaking Aims: -to identify the rooms of a house; - to pronounce correctly the words; Procedure: The teacher will show one flashcard, pupils have to name the room. Teacher will ask four students to come in front of the class and choose the flashcard corresponding to

a specific room (kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom). The pupil will show the card to the class and pronounce the word. Teacher asks the pupils to identify the rooms of their house and some pieces of furniture. Interaction: T-Ss, S- Ss Time: 10 min.
6. Practice

Activity 3: Listening- Speaking Aims: - to assimilate the words referring to the rooms of the house; - to aquire some new words referring to the things we find in each room. Procedure: The teacher shows a wall poster illustrating a house and the rooms of a house (kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom). The teacher will ask the students what objects can we find in the kitchen. The pupils will give several answers. The teacher will concentrate on cooker, fridge, cupboard, plates. Pupils will pronounce and repeat the words in chorus. Four students will be asked to come in front of the class and stick the images with the cooker, fridge, cupboard, plates, on the wall poster, in the square with the image of the kitchen. While sticking the images, the teacher will ask the students what activities are realised in the kitchen. She will concentrate on cooking, having breakfast. She will show some images. The same activity will be repeated for living room, bedroom and bathroom. Activities in living room: watching TV, reading a book. Activities in bedroom: get dressed, sleeping. Activities in bathroom: have a bath, wash your hands. Interaction: T-Ss, S- Ss Time: 10 min. 7. Production Activity 4: Recognising and speaking

Aim: - to repeat the rooms of a house; - to repeat the things around the house; Procedure: The teacher will show some things and the pupils have to name them and place them in a room. The pupils will receive a handout. Interaction: T- Ss Timing: 5 min. 8. Ending the class T expresses her appreciation for the class At the end, teacher gives points for the pupils who answered/worked well or did their best during the English class. Time: 2 min.
