Could you imagine the world without music? I sure couldnt. There are various genres of music that we the people of the world listen to. Our daily lives and our ethnicity both have music incorporated within themselves. No matter what the task, the ethnicity, or the day of the week there was always music and there always will be music. But have you ever wondered how the illustrious soothing tone of any instrument produces what we call music. Thats where music theory comes in. Music theory is the function in which music itself is produced through various melodies and harmonies. Within this research that has been conducted accordingly, music theory will be intuitively elaborated upon. Within music theory itself, there are three main topic that are to be comprehended in order to produce music; harmony, dynamic, and musical notation. Harmony is the function of a chord. The harmony of each chord is what gives a song its resonant beauty. Dynamic is the intensity of a song is sang. There are various types of dynamic with a musical score such as pianissimo, piano, mezzopiano, mezzoforte, forte, fortissimo, and fortsando. In short, pianissimo means very soft, piano means soft, mezzopiano means slightly soft, mezzoforte means slighty loud, forte means loud, fortissimo means very loud, and fortzsando means to start in fortissimo, fade to piano, and escalate back to fortissimo. Musical notation maybe the most important of them all. Musical notation provide tempo, the pace of a song, and rhythm in which a song is conducted. Using the three topics discussed I will conduct a chamber group consisting of 3 violinist, 3 cellist, and a piano, as well as using the knowledge of these three topics to compose a musical score of my own.
