Choose Insert > Blend > Surface from the menu bar. Choose Done from the BLEND OPTS menu. Choose Done from the ATTRIBUTES menu. Select the FRONT datum plane as the sketch plane. After entering the sketcher environment, draw the sketch of the two sections. Exit the sketcher environment. Enter the distance between the two sections as 225. Choose OK from the SURFACE dialog box. Create a datum plane at an offset of 17 from the TOP datum plane. Create a datum curve that is a straight line on the plane created in the previous step. The length of this line is 67 and is at a distance of 31 from the left end of the base feature. Choose the Boundary Blend button from the Base Feature toolbar. Select the datum curve created in the previous step and the left end of the base feature. The surface is created. Exit the Boundary Blend dashboard. Create a datum plane passing through the right end of the base feature and parallel to the RIGHT datum plane. Create a blend surface on the datum plane created in the previous step. This feature is on the right end of the model. Create a datum plane that passes through the right end of the blend surface created in the previous step. Create a datum curve that joins the two vertices of the blend surface created in step 25. Use the Boundary Blend dashboard and create a surface by joining the curve created in the previous step and the right edge of the surface blend created in step 25. Merge the handle with the base feature. Similarly, one by one merge all the surfaces that you have created with the base feature. Create the round on the edges of the base feature. Create a datum plane that is at an offset of 30 from DTM1. Create a cylindrical surface on the datum plane created in the previous step. This cylinder is at a distance of 108.4 from the FRONT datum plane and at a distance of 196 from the RIGHT datum plane. The diameter of the cylinder is 28. Merge the cylindrical surface with the handle. The edges formed after merging will be used to create the grips on the handle. Similarly, create the remaining grips on the handle. Select the base feature. When it turns pink in color, choose Edit > Offset from the menu bar. The Offset dashboard is displayed. Draw the ellipse in the sketcher environment. Give the offset value of 3. Exit the Offset dashboard. Create a round on the edges formed by the offset feature created in the previous step. Create cuts on the offset feature.
