Modes of Study
Full-Time A typical full-time student is pursuing his or her rst university degree, and has often come to Prague College soon after completing secondary school. While this mode of studying is ideal for someone who can devote all their time to their education, Prague College also has many students who work part-time while maintaining full-time student status. The full-time mode of study is offered in all programmes at Prague College. Part-Time A typical part-time student is pursuing his or her education while juggling other signicant responsibilities, like working full-time, bringing up children or caring for family members. Most students studying part-time are already experienced in the world of work, and are looking to improve their qualications and career opportunities. Quite often, part-time students have already completed degree or professional programmes in other subject areas. Part-time students often choose a combination of evening, weekend, blended and distance classes during their studies.

Moving from Canada to Prague was a huge life change, and Prague College was a great base for my new life. The teachers, staff and students make a wonderful community that is welcoming, helpful and constant. At Prague College I learned from some great teachers, and made some life-long friends. While studying, I made connections that helped me get work in my eld, and have my rst solo art exhibition. I am currently working as a freelance Graphic Designer/ Illustrator, and getting ready for my next art show.

I run SYPE studio which was set up by me and my friend Jakub from Prague College. We have been mainly working on our own projects at the beginning but it was more than clear that we want to build a professional studio with a modern approach that would be combining the best of both analog and digital worlds. Sound production has always been my hobby and Jakub is a composer and a sound engineer. So it was a perfect match! What I liked about Prague College is that in the HND Interactive Media program I had the opportunity to get the insight into sound production, web design and so on; I gained a broad insight into these elds. The other things I liked about Prague College were the two-way communication, sharing experiences and respect to students opinions.

I feel like college helped me to discover my own creativity. It helped me to connect many small pieces of knowledge I had before. I had some experience, but I was self-taught, and I felt lack of some knowledge. I think that combination of work and studies is the key. Prague College is very exible in that and Prague in general is really good place to start whatever you want. Probably thats why so many people of various nationalities and ages come here.

My big dream was to study Graphic Design. However, I believed I had no chance to get in to Graphic Design, neither in Slovakia nor in the UK, so I went for the second best option. When I found out I could study my dream programme in Prague and in English, I left everything behind and gave it a try. And Im beyond happy I did, Ive never regretted it.

BSc (Hons) Computing graduate
I always liked computing, especially programming, and Prague College has helped me a lot in my development of them. The teaching is done very closely with the student, and the relations, starting from the school staff and teachers, continuing with the students, are great. Prague College has given me the opportunity to work also on the Underground City XXI Project, together with students from other faculties of Prague College. Im working on the programming part of the project, mainly constructing the multiuser platform, with the use of game engines. As it seems, I would like to grow in this eld and extend my career as a programmer in the future. Prague College and the School of IT & Computing has had a big inuence in that, and my future has better shape now. 57
