I was just an average tall 11 year old, stressed and preparing for my key stage 2 exams which i was

failing most subjects especially English and maths. I needed someone to help me because i just failed my mock exams with grades so low that you wouldnt class me in year 6; i was getting level 2s at most subjects in year 6. My hopes of passing my key stage 2 exams became a reality when my dad decided to help me when he started to notice that i was constantly tired and stressed from revising all day and still failing. He choose to help me because he knows how stressful and exhausting exam periods are and he knows that if i failed my key stage 2 exams it will affect my life for the worse and it will affect my confidence in exams, my social skills will also deteriate because my class mates will think Im below average in intelligence as well the sets Im put in. Another reason why my dad helped me is because he didnt want to do the same mistake that his dad did to him when he was studying to get a place in university and his dad did not support him instead he mocked my dad, making him lose confidence in his chances of getting a place in university . When my dad decided to tutor me, he helped me in so many ways as he was a former university maths teacher, he had experience with helping other people during exams which can be extremely stressful .he brought me a ton of revision guides and every after school we would go to the study room and would revise for hours at a time, sometimes i would be there for up to 6 hours .also he brought me practise exam papers which i benefited from. After my dad helped me for the forthcoming exams i aced my exams, he affected my life because without my dad motivating me to pass and tutoring me everyday i would have failed the most important exams of my primary school life , because of my dads knowledge in the key topics like science ,Maths and English i gained one of the highest grade for science in my year , i achieved a 5B in science which is a big improvement from a 2a at the start of the spring term as well as improving greatly in English and maths ; getting a 4C in English and a 4A in maths . it also affected my life because my dad taught me that success doesnt come easy or cheap, you gain success through hard work and determination and this made me the person i am today and i thank my dad for giving me all the knowledge i have today and for all hes done for me i will never forget him, thats why Im inspired by him to achieve my goals in life and to never give up no matter what.
