Notable Incidents for Week ending March 10, 2013

Incident: DWI I.R. #: 2013-05313 Date: March 07, 2013 Location: E. Hanover Ave. Summary of Incident:
On Thursday, March 07, 2013 at 11:28 pm Ptl. David Xenitelis stopped a Dodge pickup for a speeding violation. After making contact with the driver, Nathan Condit of Wayne, NJ reasonable suspicion was developed to believe he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Mr. Condit was taken into custody, and transported to Police HQ. Mr. Condit was charged with DWI and Speeding. At the completion of processing, he was released pending a future date in Municipal Court.

Incident: Underage Purchase/Fake ID I.R. #: 2013-05388 Date: March 08, 2013 Location: Speedwell Ave. Summary of Incident:
In an effort to curb underage drinking, the Morris Township Police Dept. is participating in the federally funded program known as Cops in Shops. This proactive approach to deter the purchase of alcohol by minors place undercover officers in partnership with the local retailers. On Friday, March 08, 2013 at 9:59 pm, while assigned to the Cops in Shops detail at Duffys Liquor Stop, Ptl. Brian Markt and Ptl. Robert Hydock observed two individuals who they had reason to believe were minors purchasing alcohol. After officers asked for proof of age, suspects Sean Weg (18) and Justin Piecuch (19) were both found to possess fraudulent identification. They were both taken into custody, processed at Police HQ and later released. They were charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and possession of a fraudulent ID.

Incident: DWI I.R. #: 2013-05393 Date: March 09, 2013 Location: Woodland Ave. Summary of Incident:
On Saturday, March 09, 2013 at 12:37 am Ptl. Brian Markt stopped a grey Acura for a moving violation. Upon making contact with the driver, Richard Spock of Morris Twp. reasonable suspicion was developed to believe he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. After he was taken into custody, he was transported to Police HQ. Mr. Sprock was charged with DWI, Refusal to provide a breath sample, Reckless driving, and Failure to maintain lane. When he completed processing, he was released pending a future date in Municipal Court.

On Saturday, March 09, 2013 at 01:34 am Lt. Mark DiCarlo observed a black Jeep failing to maintain its lane. Further investigation found the driver, Daniel Bozzo of Raritan, NJ was believed to be operating his vehicle while intoxicated. After he was taken into custody he was transported to Police HQ. Mr. Bozzo was charged with DWI, Refusal to provide a breath sample, Reckless driving, and Failure to maintain lane. When he completed processing, he was released pending a future date in Municipal Court..

Incident: DWI I.R. #: 2013-05518 Date: March 10, 2013 Location: Columbia Rd. Summary of Incident:
On Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 01:58 am Ptl. Alvin Chan stopped a Nissan Altman for an equipment violation. While speaking to the driver, Jessica Tuck of Maplewood, NJ it was determined that she was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. After she was taken into custody she was transported to Police HQ. Ms. Tuck was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to maintain lamps, and for an obstruction on the windshield. After she completed processing, she was released pending a mandatory date in Municipal Court.

Incident: DWI I.R. #: 2013-05512 Date: March 10, 2013 Location: Columbia Rd. Summary of Incident:
On Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 12:50 am Ptl. Chris Tongring stopped a 2009 Range Rover on Columbia Rd. While investigating why the vehicle was unable to maintain its lane it was discovered that the driver, Rosy Rinsky of East Hanover, NJ was believed operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to maintain lane, Speeding, Driving an uninsured vehicle, and failure to exhibit a valid registration. After the suspect completed processing at Morris Township Police HQ, she was released pending a mandatory date in Municipal Court.
