Which of these topics do you feel you already know very well? We may need to cut topics to fit all the presentations in, so we shouldnt waste time on topics that would only be review for you Aside from the goals and University requirements, what do you want to get out of this course?

The Capstone Project

A major part of this course is focused on the capstone design project for your program This is a project of your own choosing, conducted in groups of three students The midterm report and demo are a way to demonstrate your progress and the report should also include all of your design figures and charts The final report will be longer, perhaps 10 to 30 pages, including all figures and references

UW EE 478 Projects
UW Projects for many years of EE 478 can be found at this link http://www.ee.washington.edu/class/478/peckol/fi nal_projects/index.htm Although these are examples you can base your project off of, your group should come up with an original idea that interests you The LAs and I will approve all capstone projects by next week, so please start thinking about yours

The Research Topic

A research report and presentation on a topic of current interested in our field of your choice Done in the same group of three as your capstone The presentation will be about 10 minutes long with a very short time for questions at the end The report will be fairly sort, under 10 pages including figures and references

Research Topic Ideas

Research topic ideas from UW are listed here http://www.ee.washington.edu/class/478/peckol/a ssignments/topics.html Again, just like with the capstone project, this will go much better if your group is interested in the topic Pick something that sounds fun to you, even if its not on the list I must approve all topics by next week
