Lace 1, 2, 3 Created exclusively for KnitPicks

Feather and Fan is one of my comfort food patterns. I know I can count on it to come through for just about anything I need or want to knit. Last minute baby afghans, legs of socks, cardigans, shawls, throws and scarves are just a few possibilities. Thats why I chose it for a lace lesson. A simple repeat of 4 rows that is easily memorized. Only one row asks the knitter to pay attention.

Feather and Fan Pattern This pattern has two extra stitches to form edges. The lace repeat is between the asteriks. Row 1: (RS) Knit. Row 2: Purl. Row 3: K1, *[k2tog] 3 times, [yo, k1] 6 times, [k2tog] 3 times; repeat from * to last st, k1. Note - Lace repeat is 18 stitches if you want to place markers. Row 4: Knit Rep Rows 1-4 until desired length. Bind off loosely.
