It just goes to show... if you put your heart into something, the results will come.

one hour a week a month can difference in

For me it means to help people who do not have it as easy as everyone else. or even one hour

make a real people's lives

Solidarit brings me closer to the local community gives me contact with people who I wouldnt normally have the opportunity to meet and talk to is a great sharing experience.

The Solidarit experience made my stage...it provided me with a sense of empowerment and a feeling of hope and optimism, the idea that we really can change things both at grass roots and at policy level - in short its pretty mind blowing!

Solidarit is an outstanding example of young people demonstrating that they care about those less well off than themselves. Solidarit also sets a fine example for employees of the EU Institutions and helps to do some fantastic work in Brussels. Whether you give love, time, money or helpful support to a person or a group of people who need it, then you are under Solidarit behaviour.

Being active in Solidarit is an important part of my experience as a stagiaire of a European Institution. It has represented an opportunity to meet different people from diverse cultural backgrounds across the world who share the same desire to start making a difference through small actions and with the motivation to reach out to those in need.

What is Solidarit for me? an opportunity to get out of our small, protected EU cocoon and get involved with the real world a chance to broaden one's horizons, to learn and gain valuable experience from other people from VERY different backgrounds. an opportunity to meet other motivated and enthusiastic people (in general) and stagiaires (in particular), people I wouldn't otherwise have met.

Involvement in any aspect of Solidarit is often a fun, social, professional and personally enriching activity, which at the same time tries to address concrete problems within our own world.

Solidarit ideas and activities to raise awareness of humanitarian and social issues can match the interests added of everybody we simply added this subto what we already did in our subIts it committee! Its easy, its real.

For me Solidarit is an idea which is a part of the values of the EU. It tries to improve some difficult situations for people. I was at a Conference this week with M. Rocard (ex Prime Minister of France). He said, "Today, the EU manages its wealth and youths deal with suffering" in the world. Participants in Solidarit try to help at their own level. To improve the lives of people in need. It was the best part of my Stage!

It is an extremely enriching and rewarding experience. It's the first time I have participated in this kind of charity activities, but I'm delighted to take part in it and hope to continue even after the Stage. 1
