Amrod Cancellation Policy

Thank you for enquiring about registering with Amrod. Amrod is South Africas leading importer and brander of Promotional Gifts, Clothing & Caps.

In order to register with us we require that you sign and fax back a copy of our cancellation policy on page 2, below. Once we receive your signed copy you will have the ability to purchase from us and will also be emailed a user name and password for our website, granting you access to pricing and stock availability

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations of orders pose a problem for a number of reasons. Once an order is placed we act on it immediately; the order gets invoiced and a picking slip is generated so that stock can be pulled, checked, packed and shelved. In the case of items that are being branded the stock is unpacked onto a print shelf and made ready for branding. When an order is cancelled a credit note needs to be generated and the goods have to be checked against the credit note and then put back to stock, and in the case of orders that were going to be branded the stock has to be repacked into the original packaging and then into the master cartons. All of this takes significant manpower and time - especially when we are dealing with large orders comprised of multiple boxes. Additionally, when stock is invoiced to you those goods are no longer available to other clients and this may result in us losing orders that we would have been able to fulfill had it not been for your order. Finally, many orders also require branding and our designers spend time on producing layouts If orders are cancelled once we have done the layouts we are not able to recover this time. Please only place orders with us when you have received a confirmed order from your client. If you are not 100% sure that your client wants the goods (with the exception of items on special) you are welcome to reserve them for 24 hours. In the case that stock of the item that you have reserved is needed by another client for a confirmed order, you will be given 3 hours to confirm the order with your client before the stock is made available to anyone else.

Amrod Cancellation Policy


Written orders (faxed or by email) constitute a binding contract and are legally enforceable. Once an order for ex-stock products to the value of R5000 ex VAT or more - has been emailed or faxed, cancellations prior to collection will be subject to a 15% handling and admin fee. In the case of cancelled orders where layouts have been done, a design fee of R150.00 ex VAT per layout will be levied, irrespective of whether we are able to meet your deadline or not, unless branding deadline has been indicated to your Account Manager upon placement of order. In the case of ex-stock orders where stock is being branded, both the stock and branding costs are to be paid in full within 10 working days of invoice, unless on account ( please note: branding will not commence until full payment has been received, unless client is on account. ) Any orders not paid for within this time will be deemed to have been cancelled, products will be put back to stock and a 15% handling charge will be levied where the invoice value is R5000 ex VAT or more. In addition, a design fee of R150 per layout will be levied. The same applies to unbranded exstock orders of R5000 ex VAT or more For customers who are on account, no cancellation of orders for ex-stock products will be accepted once final approval of artwork has been received. Ex-stock orders wanting to be returned after stock has been collected may be returned, at the sole discretion of management, within 48 hours of collection, subject to a 25% handling and admin fee. Special Import orders will not be accepted for return. Please do not return orders without prior written consent from Amrod Management. Orders returned without accompanying written consent and corresponding invoice will not be accepted by our returns department. A cancellation fee of 50% will be applied to cancellations of orders for products on special or reduced to clear prior to collection of stock. Once stock of an item that is on special or reduced to clear has been collected no returns will be accepted, unless said stock is faulty. For Special Import orders under R2000 no deposit is required and once an order has been faxed or emailed no cancellations will be accepted for any reason. We place orders with our suppliers upon receipt of your orders and they do not accept cancellations from us. For Special Import orders over R2000 a 50% deposit is required prior to us placing the order. Once your deposit has been received we place the order with our supplier and no cancellations will be accepted. Clients on account may not cancel Special Import orders once an email or faced order has been sent through. Once a cancellation fee has been levied, your account will be blocked and you shall not be able to place any further orders with Amrod until the cancellation fee has been paid
