SAP Functional Tester (Contract position) OUR CLIENT is seeking resumes for three SAP Functional testers.

The candidate must be both -hands-on- and functional. This candidate will work in concert with the business resource on testing. The candidate will focus their efforts on ensuring that the tool works from a technical standpoint and being the coach for tool usage, whereas the person form the business will focus their testing against business processes. Skills Required: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and interacting with multiple teams involving Client and other vendor teams. Extensive experience using HP Quality Center (formerly Mercury Test Director) Strong teamwork and customer support focus Testing experience for a full SAP life cycle using HP Quality Center Knowledge of the integration of Solution Manager and Quality Center is a plus. Experience required: At least 7 years testing experience, 3+ years hands-on experience using HPQC 3-5 years experience managing SAP testing cycles on large SAP implementation projects The candidate should be able to demonstrate competency in the following: Use of HP Quality Center Creation & management of process documentation to support a Quality Assurance environment Ability to work in and coordinate efforts in SAP Solution Manager Proven ability to lead a team through test planning, test execution and all aspects of testing Extensive experience creating Test Plans, High Level Test Documents, Test Cases, requirements mapping to test cases, Test Procedures, developing and maintaining Test scripts, analyzing bugs, interacting with functional team members providing guidance in the end to end testing process Guide and coach the business user testers. Participate in all categories of testing either conducted by the System Integrator or OUR CLIENT. Assist in the creation of test plans, test scenarios that govern the testing and acceptance process including system testing, data conversion testing, operational readiness testing, and user acceptance testing. Oversee the integration testing of enhancements, interfaces, reports, etc. have been unit tested, delivered, and accepted by OUR CLIENT. Manage test tracking, incident recording, and resolution for your assigned functional team. Review the results of all categories of testing conducted by the System Integrator or OUR CLIENT. Contribute to weekly work stream status report and team meetings. Develop training and user documentation for test resources. Working knowledge and understanding of pertinent SAP ERP Modules: o Resource 1 (workstream Hire-to-Retire) - HCM, ESS, MSS, PA, OM, eRec, Payroll o Resource 2 (workstream Record-to-Report) - FI/CO, FSCM, SD, PS, BPC, Tax o Resource 3 (workstream Procure-to-Pay) MM, SRM, SCM, CLM, IM/WM, spend analytics Description of Duties: The candidate will be required to interface with functional teams, business management, technology, and BASIS teams. The tester will manage and/or provide guidance for testing activities across their assigned functional business unit and IT testing resources. The tester may be asked to provide updates to the Project Management Teams on Go-Live readiness. The tester will coordinate testing to ensure the timely, orderly, and successful delivery of multiple Integration test cycles. In addition to managing test initiatives, the tester will ensure that the integration test cycle is executed according to plan that includes validating implementation plans, mitigation plans, and test plans. To provide coordination of activities across teams, the candidate will be developing go-live checklists and tools to assure testing and quality activities are conducted effectively. This position is located in our Roanoke, Virginia office building with an Oct 2010 start date. Duration of contract is expected to last 6 months with the option to renew the contract.
