RTN 620 Overview As TDM/Hybrid integrated radio equipment, the RTN 620 supports the aggregation, crossconnection, and

grooming of TDM and Ethernet services, as well as the transmission of native E1 and Ethernet services. It also supports AM to ensure the quality of high-priority services without compromising the capacity of Ethernet services, optimizing the network performance and improving spectrum utilization. In addition, the RTN 620 can interconnect with other optical transmission equipment through high-rate optical ports.

Product Features

High Bandwidth and Efficiency Provides 7 MHz to 56 MHz channel bandwidth at air interfaces and supports modulation modes ranging from QPSK to 256QAM. Supports flexible bandwidth configurations (2xE1 to 75xE1) at air interfaces for TDM services. Supports flexible throughout configurations (10 Mbit/s to 400 Mbit/s) for native Ethernet services.

AM

When the radio link quality over the air interface is good (for example, when the weather is good), the RTN 620 uses a higher-order modulation mode to achieve broad bandwidth transmission, curtailing the CAPEX. When the radio link quality over the air interface is bad (for example, when it is foggy or raining heavily), the RTN 620 adaptively downshifts the modulation mode to improve the anti-interference capability of the radio link, ensuring the transmission quality for VIPs. Efficient utilization of spectrum resources decreases the OPEX effectively.

Built-in MADM (Multi-ADM) Supports multiple RF directions by using one piece of equipment for achieving networking radio. Supports flexible network topologies (for example, PDH/SDH ring). Supports full cross-connections in all directions. Supports fast service provisioning and adjustment. Decreases the number of DDF subracks, external cables, and IDU service interface units, and requires no external ADM equipment.

Powerful Ethernet Service-Processing Capability Supports EoPDH. Supports a variety of Ethernet services, such as EPL, EVPL, EPLAN, and EVPLAN. Supports the adding, deleting, and switching of VLAN/QinQ tags. Supports eight-class QoS (including CAR, CoS, and Shaping), traffic classification based on VLAN ID, IEEE 802.1p, or DSCP, and queue scheduling policies such as SP+WRR. Supports Ethernet OAM based on IEEE 802.1ag or IEEE 802.3ah.

Robust Protection Capabilities Supports 1+1 power supply. Supports 1+1 backup of the cross-connect units and clock units. Supports 1+1 protection. In TDM mode, supports N+1 protection. In TDM mode, supports sub-network connection protection (SNCP) protection

between optical transmission links, between wireless links, and between optical transmission links and wireless links. In TDM mode, supports SNCP for E1 services, and supports ERPS protection, that is, Hybrid ring, for data services. Supports both SNCP and 1+1 protection. Supports Hybrid-TDM ring radio networks. Supports linear MSP for optical transmission links and STM-l links. Supports two-fiber bidirectional MSP between STM-4 optical transmission links.

XPIC When both the cross-polarization interference cancellation (XPIC) function and the co-channel dual-polarization (CCDP) function are used, the transmission capacity is doubled, under the same channel conditions. ATPC The automatic transmit power control (ATPC) technology enables the RTN equipment to automatically adjust the output power of the transmitter within the ATPC control range in accordance with the received signal level (RSL). This technology minimizes interference to neighboring systems and the residual error rate.

Combination of Optical Fibers with Microwave Transmission The RTN 620 can be configured as microwave transmission equipment or optical transmission equipment, or a hybrid of both. End-to-end service configuration and management are provided by using an NMS that manages both radio transmission equipment and optical transmission equipment.

Easy to Install The RTN 620 features compact design and light weight. The RTN 620 can be installed in a cabinet, on a desktop, or on a wall. The RTN 620, 300 mm deep, can be installed in any standard telecom cabinet. The RTN 620 can share a cabinet with wireless base station equipment.

Easy to Maintain Provides a built-in test system for conducting pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS) error test at PDH ports. Supports the monitoring of important radio transmission performance specifications, such as microwave transmit power and RSSI.

Uses the NMS to load software programs and data remotely.

Abundant Network Management Methods Uses the iManager U2000 Web LCT to manage an RTN 600 NE locally. Uses the Web LCT to manage RTN 600 NEs in the same network in a centralized manner. Uses the iManager U2000/T2000 to manage RTN 600 NEs and Huawei optical transmission equipment in a centralized manner. Uses simple network management protocol (SNMP) to query alarms and performance events.
