It’s me
I am a teenager of average height. Others say that I have a good figure, but, to be honest, I am
not satisfied with my shape. I have shoulder length, wavy hair parted in the middle. The
colour of my hair depends on the fashion as I have it dyed. Now, it is red with highlights. My
face is oval with a fair complexion. Fortunately, my skin is not pock-marked. I have some
freckles on my pointed nose. My eyes are big and dark. Also, I have long eyelashes and
plucked eyebrows. On the whole, I am a nice-looking girl, they say.
It’s me
I am a boy in my late teens. I am careful of my appearance. I have short spiky brown hair and
bluish eyes. My face is round with a tanned complexion. I also have some spots on my
cheeks. My nose is terrible as it is a large hook-one. I have fine eyebrows and a high forehead
which makes me seem to be intelligent. I am tall and well-built. I do not wear glasses.
My father
He is a man of medium height. He has got broad-shoulders. He is stout and has a paunch. He
has a round face with a double chin, a turned-up nose, large brownish eyes and a tanned
complexion. He hasn’t got a moustache and a beard. He has got greyish cropped hair. There
are some wrinkles around his eyes. My dad is in his middle-fifties, but he looks a bit younger.
He is not very careful of his appearance.
My mother
My mum is a middle aged woman of average height. She has got a long face. She takes a lot
of care of her appearance. Her hair is never unkempt and she usually wears her long brown
hair in a bun. She has fashionable glasses which suit her well. Her skin is a little wrinckled
but tanned. She has an expressive face with a small nose, hazel eyes and a narrow mouth. She
is neither thin nor overweight. On the whole, she is attractive.

It’s me
I have got my father’s personality. He is a practical man. He copes with
new situations well and, just like me, he has a good head for business.
Moreover, I am patient with people. My friends say that I have a good
sense of humour and I always make them laugh. Also, I am a sociable
boy/girl as I like keeping company and making friends.
My best friend
My best friend is my classmate, ……… We get on very well. I trust
him/her very much. We can talk everything with each other, and we

By the way, she is a bit superstitious. Imagine, she believes in ghosts.

- judge by appearance
- be dress-conscious
- be casually dressed
- it is not the gay coat that makes a gentleman
- clothes are not important to me
- have no dress sense
- have good taste in clothes
- what looks nice, always depends on the occasion
I agree with the proverb that ‘It’s not the gay coat that makes a gentleman.’ I do not follow the
latest fashion, but try to care for my appearance. I always dress according to the occasion. On
weekdays, when I go to school, I regularly wear a sweatshirt, or a jumper, a pair of jeans and
comfortable shoes. I usually have colourful pieces of clothes as I think, each colour has a
meaning and an effect on our mood. Of course, the weather is an essential factor in choosing
what to wear outside. Last but not least, I prefer those garments which suit me the best.
There are people who are always fashionable and have expensive clothes from the same
famous brand. They think they are judged by their appearance and they are usually
condescending with those people who do not follow the latest fashion. The most important
thing for them is the price of their new garments ignoring how a particular piece of clothing
fits them.
