Tom and Lynn Schmittgens, owners of the Medicine
Shoppe Pharmacy, know the pharmacy business. More
importantly, they know the pharmacy business is about
quality patient care.
The business has become increasingly challenging with
more complicated and expensive treatments, confusing

“Even though many things are complicated, pharmacy
practice should still be about taking care of patients,” Lynn

The Schmittgens acquired the business in 1998 and

Tom Schmittgens, a breast cancer survivor himself, said
living through cancer diagnosis and treatment has given the
owners so much experience to draw from in treating others,
and their families, going through life-altering illnesses.
