Entry Requirements You must present the following documents at the time of your induction when you arrive in Southampton: Original certificates and/or certified translations of academic qualifications. Original evidence of English language ability (international students) - in the form of original certificates or completion of the Universitys pre-sessional English language programme. Living Expenses The estimated annual costs of living in Southampton are approximately 7,500 for a postgraduate student, 3,000 for a partner and 1,500 for a child. This includes accommodation, food, clothes, books and other personal expenditure. Accommodation As a new student to the university you are guaranteed an offer of accommodation in a Hall of Residence if: You meet the terms of your offer of a place to study. You normally live outside the city of Southampton. You are unaccompanied (i.e. you do not bring any dependents such as a partner and/or child with you). st You apply for accommodation by the 1 August during the year in which your studies begin. We are able to guarantee an offer of accommodation to all International students for the full duration of your studies if you re-apply for single accommodation by our continuing student deadline once you are studying in Southampton.
