Help us raise funds to provide DC inner-city high school

students and siblings of incarcerated youth Scholarships
needed for them to go to college in the fall. Come out
and register to be a Mentor/Tutor for a child/youth
living in the community and at one of the detention
centersYouth Services Center/New Beginnings.

What is it?
A walk-a-thon to raise funds for the resource
rallies that we sponsor each year.
How will the money be used?
All the money raised by individuals
participating in the walk will be used in June,
where scholarships are given to 10 Senior high
School Students needing finances to go to
college. In August, Back Packs and School
Supplies for KIDS returning back to school; In
November, Thanksgiving Baskets to families in
Need; In December, toys for Needy KIDS,
Summer Camp and Mentors/Tutors for our Job
Readiness Program.
What is the Extension Center?
Since 1995, World Missions Inner City
Extension Center (the EXTENSION Center)
has provided educational training services that
positively impact lives of children, youth and
adults living in inner-city neighborhoods. The
Extension Center is a 501(c)3, non-profit
organization.
How can I get involved?
Participate in the Walk on Saturday, April 27
2013. We are asking each participant to find 12
people who will sponsor them on the Walk by
donating $25 or more each. Encourage friends
to participate in the Walk with you. Ask each
of your friends to find 12 sponsors of their own.

Instructions for Walkers

Fundraising
1. Set your own personal goal for what you want to raise.
2. Write a list of those you will ask to sponsor you. Try friends, relatives, classmates, coworkers, church members and neighbors.
3. As you start receiving contributions from your sponsors, remember that all donations to
World Missions are tax-deductible.
4. Encourage all of your sponsors to attend the Walk for World Missions themselves, and to
raise support from their own sponsors.
Please remember that you are responsible for all the money that you raise. Please keep it safe.

At the Walk
1. Registration for the Walk begins promptly at 8:00 am. The Walk will begin at 9:00 am.
2. Please bring your fundraising pack (including your sponsor records and donations) with
you and check in before the Walk at the registration tables.
