Ensign (March 2009, p52) President Ezra Taft Benson
(1899-1994) said: "The world would take people out of
the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then
they take themselves out of the slums. The world would
mold men by changing their environment. Christ chang-
es men, who then change their environment. The world
would shape human behavior, but Christ can change
human nature," William George Jordan put it this way,
"The world is busy with its own cares, sorrows and joys,
and pays little heed to you. There is but one great pass-
word to success,--self-reliance." Learning to work and
teaching our children and grandchildren, nieces and
nephews, even neighborhood children the great value of
work is preparing for the future. Being prepared is Prov-
ident Living.

Chicken in Basil
Cream Sauce

1 C. milk
1 C. Italian bread crumbs
1/4 C. margarine
1 C. chicken broth
2 C. whipping cream
1 tsp. dried basil
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 C. grated parmesan cheese

. Optional: I like to pound and flatten the
chicken out a little so it cooks evenly
throughout. Place milk and bread crumbs
in separate shallow bowls. Dip chicken in
milk, then coat with crumbs. In a skillet
over medium heat cook chicken in butter
until browned on both sides. Remove
chicken from skillet and keep in a 9X13
pan in the oven on warm.
Add chicken broth to skillet and stir to
loosen up browned bits from pan. Stir in
cream, basil, and pepper and bring to a
boil. Turn heat to low and whisk in par-
mesan cheese. Pour sauce over the chick-
en and serve.

An Unspeakable Gift
from God
The Holy Ghost is the third member of the
Godhead, and, as such, like God the Father
and Jesus Christ, He knows our thoughts
and the intents of our hearts.

The Holy
Ghost loves us and wants us to be happy.
Since He knows the challenges we will
face, He can guide us and teach us all things
we must do to return and live with our
Heavenly Father once again.
Unlike Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ,
who have glorified bodies of flesh and
bones, the Holy Ghost is a personage of
spirit who communicates to our spirits
through feelings and impressions.

As a
spirit being, He has the unique
responsibility of being an agent through
which personal revelation is received. In
scripture, the Holy Ghost is often referred to
as the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Lord, the
Holy Spirit of Promise, or simply the
Spirit.
