Trainer North Florida Region

Position Title: Regional Trainer

Position Overview: The Regional Trainer is responsible for the development and implementation of training programs, curriculums, and individual courses that will develop and improve the capabilities of the Jorgensen staff at the regional, project level. The scope of the training include: identification of training needs; identification and implementation of off-theshelf training courses; development and conduct of specific internal training required to meet project work requirements and staff workplace development. This is a full time professional position located in Jacksonville Florida reporting to the Northern Florida Regional Manager. At least 50 percent travel is required to project work sites within the region of Florida and Georgia. Minimum Requirements: BS in Business Administration with emphasis on Communications or Human Resource Development or BS in Engineering with a focus on civil or construction engineering. Minimum of five years experience in the development and implementation of technical and/or management training. Use of computer applications word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Knowledge of computer graphics and web-based training a plus.

Writing skill Preparing written material that follows generally accepted rules of style and form, is appropriate for the audience, is creative and accomplishes its intended purpose. Coaching skill Helping individuals recognize and understand personal needs, values, problems alternatives and goals. Feedback skill Communicating information, opinions, observations, and conclusions so that they are understood and can be acted on.

Job Responsibilities: In order to develop and implement a strong regional training program the Regional Trainer is expected to perform the following tasks and activities. Develop a needs assessment process that addresses corporate goals and objectives, project operations, and individual employee needs. This will be done in coordination with the project managers in the region as well as the Corporate Safety Director, Corporate Quality Manager, and others. Develop an instructional process with proven delivery methods and post-training evaluations for specific curriculums/courses and determine the availability of third-party training material. Coordinate with the Regional Manager and Project Managers to develop and implement training schedules. Coordinate local (project) training efforts to ensure the full utilization of site training facilities, processes, resources, equipment and third-party vendors. Annually assess the effectiveness of the training programs and recommend future changes. Assist Project Managers in prioritizing training requirements; resolving and clarifying training goals and objectives; and identifying trainees. Keep informed on new and relevant Federal and state regulations and legislation that impacts Jorgensens ability to successfully carry out is contractual obligations. Continually seek and support new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs. Provide support to Project Managers and the Regional Manager in responding to specific/unique technical and professional development issues. Work with the Jorgensen Corporate Safety Director to ensure safety-training requirements are scheduled and implemented. Ensure that all project required certifications are maintained and documented, including scheduling initial certification training and renewal certification training. Prepare proposed annual work program and budget for regional training.
