CO 22 Sts, leaving a 36-inch tail. Ribbing Row 1: (RS) K2, P1, K2, P4, K4, P4, K2, P1, K2. Row 2: Knit the knits and purl the purls. Row 3: Work as row 1. Begin working from cable chart. Work 7 repeats. Work in Ribbing pattern for four rows, starting at Row 2. (RS Facing) BO 21 sts. With Crochet Hook, Chain into last st; chain for six inches. Break yarn. With cast-on tail, chain 6 inches. Bottom With RS facing, P up and Knit 40 sts along bottom edge of cable band (the edge without ties). CO 5 sts at end of completed row; with RS facing, PM and join in the round. Knit one round, placing marker after every 9 sts. Decrease Bottom *K to 2 sts before next marker, K2tog, SM; rep from * around. Repeat this round seven more times; 5 sts remain. Break yarn. With Tapestry Needle, run yarn through five live stitches and pull tight to BO. Weave in ends, wash and block. Cable Chart:
