Font: Twentytwelve Slab, by Dom Catapano, history unknown (found on dafont.com) Reason chosen: The font t with my concept and appeared respresented a combination of the scienti c and artistic. Concept and audience: To me, cheese respresents a combination of art and science. While many are passionate about cheese, cheesemaking itself is a scienti c process involving bacteria and yielding a unique product based on texture, location, etc. My poster is designed for food lovers who have more than a casual interest in cheesethose who want to dig deeper into the de ning aspects of cheese. To convey the scienti c aspect of cheese, I used a legend to provide additional information about cheese texture and origin and played with visuals reminiscent of diagrams on a scienti c poster.
