Myanmar
Australia Awards Leadership Program (formerly Australian Leadership Award Scholarships) Up to 200 outstanding Australia Awards Scholarship recipients across the globe will be offered a place in the Australia Awards Leadership Program in addition to their scholarship. There is no separate application process. The Leadership Program will bring awardees together in Australia for leadership training, development discussions and the chance to build valuable networks. Priority sectors
The priority areas of study for Australia Awards in Myanmar are education, health, agriculture, food security), and governance (with a particular focus on economic governance). Cross-cutting themes will also be considered. These could include disability, gender equity, humanitarian support, disaster management, development studies, law, public policy, and international relations.

Applicants must also meet the following specific requirements for Myanmar: be a Myanmar citizen currently residing in Myanmar have an English language proficiency of at least 5.0 in IELTS (or 500 in paper-based TOEFL or 61 internet based TOEFL) if English proficiency is unknown, then the applicant is required to sit an English aptitude test in April 2013. Detailed information on this test can be obtained by emailing: australiaawards.myanmar@dfat.gov.au
Required supporting documents can be found in the Scholarship Policy Handbook. We advise applicants to submit their applications online or hardcopy, well before the closing date.
Supporting documents
Applicants must submit all of the relevant supporting documents listed in the Scholarships Policy Handbook with their applications. Applicants must also provide the following documents to meet the specific requirements. official matriculation results (both original and notarised versions) official academic transcripts for every year of study (both original and notarised versions) at least one academic and one professional referee report.
Application dates
Opening date: Closing date: 1 February 2013 30 April 2013
Applications or supporting documents received after this date will not be considered.
