SYNOPSIS Title of the projectConsumer Perception Of Battery Operated Two Wheelers In Bilaspur With Special Reference To Yo-Bykes (ELECTROTHERM (India) Ltd).

Objectives of the project To identify the brand awareness of Electronic Bikes. To analyse the performance of E-Bikes.. To determine the requirement regarding the features of battery operated bikes. To identify various factors to buy battery operated bikes. To know the influence of advertising on purchase behaviour of customers. To know future prospect of E-Bikes in Bilaspur.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY


An electric bicycle, also known as an e-bike, is a bicycle with an electric motor used to power the vehicle. Electric bicycles use rechargeable batteries and can travel up to 15 to 20 miles per hour (24 to 32 km/h), depending on the laws of the country in which they are sold. In some markets they are rapidly replacing traditional bikes and motorcycles. In many parts of the world, electric bicycles are classified as bicycles rather than motor vehicles, so they are not subject to the more stringent laws regarding certification and operation of motor vehicles. Electric bicycles are one type of motorized bicycle. However, electric bicycles are defined separately and treated as a specific vehicle type in many areas of legal jurisdiction. Due to increase in the consumption of fuel, the entire world will be facing shortage of fuel, the only option is to switch over to a alternate source of energy; Yo-Bykes i.e. electric bike is the answer. The study aims at understanding the mindset of the potential customers regarding their preferences towards the battery operated bikes.

An attempt has been made to find out the awareness and the demand of the battery operated bikes with special reference to Yo-Bykes. Unlike petrol two-wheelers, the eco-friendly YOBykes dont add air-pollution and noise-pollution. This is because YO-Bykes are batteryoperated Zero Tail Pipe Emission two wheelers (ZEVs), which prevent harm to the environment and make the earth a better place to live in.

Research Methodology
Sample Size- 160 Sampling UnitCustomers and people above the age group of 16yrs. A "sampling unit" is typically thought of as an object that has been sampled from a statistical population. This term is commonly used in opinion polling and survey sampling.

Sampling MethodFor the purpose of the study, Stratified convenience sampling technique will be used for my survey.

TYPES OF RESEARCH
There are several types of research design. For my study Descriptive survey method will be more useful and suitable. According to the demand of the study some more research design and methods will be used as per requirement.

DATA COLLECTION TOOLS:


(a) Questionnaire :It is a piece of paper with a set of questions related to the purpose of research which is presented to the respondent. The questionnaire I will use in my survey will have close-end questions and open question .

(b) Personal Interview :-It is a process of communication or interaction in which generally two persons are involved and it is a face to face interaction. The various sources of information can be broadly divided into two categories:

Primary Source: Source from where first hand information is gathered directly are called
primary source and the information thus called primary data. In case of the given study the primary source will be respondents.

Secondary Source:
The data that are collected by someone else and already exists somewhere is called secondary data. With regard to my study the secondary data will be sourced from the company records, websites and newspapers.

Data Analysis & Interpretations


Data analysis tools are mainly Percentage; central tendency; etc. which will be very useful for analyzing the data, but as per the requirement of the project , validity and availability others tools may be also used to make the report more appropriate. Interpretation will be done by Pie chart but according to the requirements of the study others method should also be considered.

PREFACE
My research project deals with Consumer Perception Of Battery Operated Two Wheelers In Bilaspur With Special Reference To Yo-Bykes (ELECTROTHERM (India) Ltd). In this report, I have studied & evaluated the consumer perception regarding the Electronic Bikes. The first section deals with the concept of consumer perception and the factors which influence the behavior of the consumer and rol of consumer in marketing. In this section, I have given a brief explanation about the Automobile (Electronic bikes) Industry . It also contains the Company profile of Electrotherm India Ltd. and its products special focus on Auto division i.e. E-Bikes. This section of my report deals with a detailed company profile. It includes the companys history: its activities and operations, organizational structure, etc. this section attempts to give detailed information about the company and the nature of its functioning.

In the second section of my report, contains the various tool & techniques used by me to accomplish the study successfully. I have conducted a research study to determine the factors which influence or prevents a customer to purchase Electronic Bikes. The third and fourth section of this report consists of data analysis & interpretations of collected data and information it also contains major findings of the study, conclusion and Suggestions for the organizations. Findings is comprises f Benefit of E-Bikes on Conventional Bikes and SWOT Analysis of Yo-Bikes (Electrotherm India Ltd.).
