ow sometimes I forget this. Its funny how the memory fades but somehow Im always reminded why.

Its what keeps me striving. Joyfully striving in the ministry: Grace.

laughed the hardest finding bliss in simplicity. I have gained a deeper understanding of compassion and learned to wait patiently upon the Lord. But most importantly I can say that Im closer to my Makers heart. He draws me close enough, that I can feel His heartbeat pounding. His heart beats for the lost and the least of the people; He gave me ears to hear it. Every time I feel this beating, it reaffirms my purpose and my calling. He calls me clear enough, that I gaze upon His face like a child as I carry my cross. So as I look back on what the Lord has done in my life and the lives of the people around me, all I can do is to offer Him a heart filled with gratitude and awe. My friends, He is faithful. He is good. He is strong. His grace, believe me, is enough. Let us always remind ourselves of these truths. May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. 2 Thessalonians 2:16 and 17

Last year was tough; I got really sick in the mountains for more than a week without my asthma medicines. I have been questioned and doubted by the very people Im serving; Delayed support for three months; I got lost in Vietnam during my first ever cross cultural mission trip; The overwhelming task of team leading as my partner had to leave suddenly; Relationship conflicts; The agonizing burden that I had in my heart for months knowing that two of my closest Mangyan friends and Sander, an eight month old child, died under my care; I have been tested and pushed to the limit. Many times, I was tempted to just quit. I have been in these situations where all I can do is to trust Him. I got to know more about myself, my tendencies and weaknesses. I cherish those moments where I found peace when Im confused, gained strength when Im weak, experienced pure, sincere joy in places of nothingness and rediscovered faith when everything around me seems so hard to believe. Oh how I remember those times when I learned to just fall on my knees and realized how sweet surrender really is! I treasure those moments where I

KAIROS
Last April 16-20 2012, I am privileged to attend the Kairos Course 4th Edition, formerly called Condensed Course on World missions. The goal of the KAIROS Course is to help the church in forming a truly biblical worldview and assist in a believers journey into becoming a world Christian and finding meaningful involvement in the world Christian movement. It was a wonderful learning experience for me. As a missionary nurse, it has challenged me to step back and see the bigger picture in missions.

Last October, I had the privilege to have my first cross-cultural mission trip in Cambodia among the Khmer people. I thank the Lord for Medical Ministry International (MMI) for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their ministry. I participated in 4 major operations as a scrub nurse with international surgeons and anaesthesiologists. It was a great learning experience for me. This trip has challenged me to really be involved in world Christian movement, to reach the unreached by the gospel. I thank those who have prayed for me and supported me financially.

We are now in the last phase of the community development work in these communities. Praise God, we were able to mobilize the communities to build their very own health centers with newly trained local family health workers.

Medical Ambassadors Philippines, Inc. (MAP): Transforming communities through Christs love and Holistic care; we are still very much committed in fulfilling the vision God has entrusted us, in spite of all the trials and problems. The Lord remained faithful in spite of delayed support. Please pray for my fellow workers who have been a great encouragement for me. MCTV Philippines: I praise the Lord for the support my home church is giving me. Last April 15, 2012, my home church (MCTV Novaliches) held a commissioning service giving me the privilege to be their missionary. Please pray that by Gods grace, I will be able to contribute in some ways in the missions ministry. Partner in the field: My former partner and team leader, Paul Baas, will be heading MAP's Mobilization and Partnership Development program. Nathan Rotap, who has been faithfully volunteering in the ministry this past year, will be continuing his studies. Pray for me: I am overwhelmed with the tasks ahead, but I firmly believe that He will equip me in every ways. We are encouraged to raise our own support this year. Please pray that this will not hinder me from taking part in the Lords work. My confidence comes from the Lord alone.
