ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Government College of Engineering, Amravati was established in 1964. It is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati and offers seven UG and six PG courses in engineering disciplines. The Institute has its own campus spread over 105 acres of land. Over the years, college has developed by leaps & bound in to a premier institute of India catering to the needs of nearby industries, public sector undertakings, institutes and the community in general. Six UG and one PG programmes have been accredited for three years by NBA. The Institution has been successfully completed World Bank assisted project under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) Phase I and selected for Phase II by Govt. of India.

ELIGIBILITY
This program is designed for regular / permanent senior teachers of degree colleges / universities offering degree courses in engineering / technology. In addition, the participating teachers must be Life Member of ISTE and have a total teaching / industry / administrative / research experience of more than 15 years. No any T.A. / D.A. will be paid by this institute. REGISTRATION Total 30 seats are proposed for this program. Registration Fees is :-Participants from TEQIP Rs.2500/sponsored degree institution Participants from other Rs.3000/degree level institutions / Universities Participants from industries Rs.3000/The application form along with registration fees DD , drawn in favor of Principal, Government College of

Engineering, Amravati payable at Amravati is to be submitted up to 21th Nov. 2012 [Wednesday]. To avoid postal delay, the applicants can send by E-mail the scan copy of D.D. & completed application form and submit D.D. at the time of registration. Intimation about selection of participants will be only through Email as well as on website of the institute on 22nd Nov.2012 [Thursday]

ACCOMMODATION
Limited accommodation may be provided in this institute guest house for extra charges of Rs.100/- per day. Also assistance can be provided for identifying the outside lodging and boarding facilities.

REACHING THE INSTITUTE

The institute is situated in Kathora Naka, Opposite V. M. V. (P. O.), 5 KM away from Amravati Railway and Bus stations and about 14 KM from Badnera station of Central Railway .

A diversified training program is needed to meet increasing demands for qualified personnel in the developing countries. This training considers latest developments in science and technology.
