Do reflective writings on the implementation of KBSR and KSSR and its aims towards Vision 2020 and present it in class. -KBSR was introduced in 1982 and it was balance and aligned with the Falsafah Pendidikan Negara and KSSR was introduced to restructure and improve the current curriculum in order to produce a better students who are knowledgeable, have relevant skills and values to face the changes in this globalization era, ahead to 2020. KBSR curriculum design is based on 3 areas which are communication, man and his environment and self- development of the individual. While, curriculum design for KSSR is more wide which is based on 6 areas. They are communication, spiritual, attitude and values, humanitarian, physical and aesthetical development and science and technology. KSSR will produce a community with good character as it contains core values for character building and self- image that will ensure the students have the leadership skills and high self- esteem. To meet the need of Vision 2020, the students must have good self- image and high self- esteem. The main focus for KBSR is 3M ( reading, writing and arithmetic) while KSSR is 4M ( reading, writing arithmetic and reasoning). KSSR seems has more strengths as it is more towards practical. Furthermore, KSSR is less stressful for the teacher and students themselves because of less exam oriented. Other than that, the implementation of KSSR will provide a better interaction between students and teacher. The students can spend more time on co- curricular activities thus lead to a healthy body. It is good for them to have a healthy body because good mind comes from healthy body. As conclusion, both implementation of KBSR and KSSR is moving towards Vision 2020. As for now, KSSR is seen as a better curriculum because it is the result of improvement on KBSR. There are some aspects from KBSR that are used in KSSR and the changes in KSSR are to maximize the human capital among the students. .
