Please read before Course Pre-Enrollment/Enrollment


A) Year 4 and Graduating Students must do the Self-Graduation Check before enrollment.
Please download the Self-Graduation Checking Form in FBA Homepage (http://www.umac.mo/fba/bachelor/enrollment_grad_check.html) and perform the relative checking from time to time. Kindly ensure you have taken all the required courses for graduation in your last year of study. If you have not taken and passed all the required courses in your curriculum, you will not be able to graduate. For students admitted in 2004 or after, a minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for graduation. B) Quotas for compulsory courses and major / required elective courses Please check your enrollment plan at http://www.umac.mo/fba/bachelor/enrollment_grad_check.html before pre-enrollment, enrollment and add/drop to ensure you enroll in the correct courses. Please make sure you have enrolled into all your compulsory and major/required elective courses.

C) Taking more than 20 credit units

PROGRAMME INFORMATION - FOR STUDENTS ADMITTED IN 2009 AND AFTER

GENERAL EDUCATION (GE) COURSES: In order to satisfy the GE requirement, FBA students (B1 or after intake) are required to take TWO courses from Area 1 and ONE course from EACH of Area 2 to 13. Additional GE course(s) taken will ONLY be counted as FE course(s). For further details, please find the GE course list for your reference (http://www.umac.mo/fba/bachelor/enrollment_plan/GE_courses_FBA.pdf). DISTRIBUTION/DIVERSITY (DE) COURSES: Starting from the academic year 2011/2012, FBA students (B1 or after intake) have to take DE courses in order to satisfy their curriculum. The four DE courses should be from four different major programs/disciplines other than the students own major program. For the disciplines of each FBA major program, you can refer to the FBA website for your reference (http://www.umac.mo/fba/bachelor/Diversity_elective.pdf). BBEL332 Business Law as one of their DE courses, thus other course(s) with discipline in Law will not be classified as their DE course(s). HGM11-CHM11 students (B1 or after intake) have to take GAHM325 Hospitality and Tourism Law as one of their DE courses, thus other course(s) with discipline in Law will not be classified as their DE course(s). HGM11-GMM11 students (B1 or after intake) should take GAHM323 Gaming Law and GAHM202 Psychology of Gambling as their DE courses, thus other course(s) with disciplines in Law and Psychology will not be classified as their DE course(s). ENGLISH COURSES OFFERED BY ELC: If students are not eligible to take English courses with intermediate or higher level, they are required to take and pass the lower level English courses first. For FBA students (B0 or before intake), the lower level English courses will NOT be counted towards graduation requirement and will NOT be counted as the non-FBA elective courses. As stated in the GE regulation, students (B1 intake) whom are assigned in English courses below intermediate level must successfully complete the elementary level first, and then they will be placed into the intermediate level to begin fulfilling GE requirements. Those completed elementary level English courses will ONLY be counted as FE courses. Students are NOT allowed to take any English Language courses at a lower level than the placement result level. BBA students (A9 or B0 intake) who still have missing courses in regard with required electives from the 18-R restricted list, history or psychology, please enroll the needed course(s) by yourself as soon as possible. For equivalent courses, you may refer to the Registry homepage (http://www.umac.mo/reg/cstudents_enrolment.php) or visit the relative faculty department for advices.

BBA students (B0 intake) who have taken either EBIS200 or MGMT221 in 1st semester, they should take the remaining one in 2nd semester. BBA Year 2 students (mainly B1 intake) should adjust their enrollment plan by themselves within the enrollment period according to the assigned major. This group of students is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to perform the self-graduation check before enrollment so that you will know clearly which courses are missing.
