St Augustines Primary School Bulletin: Monday 25th February

Congratulations to Catherine & Rob McCartney who are expecting their first baby in the summer. It is lovely to have some good news to share at the end of this half term. I have sent all teachers their day and time for our Pupil Progress Meeting. Please check on Fronter for this information Our next book scrutiny is on Wednesday 27th February and we will be looking at Science books. A particular focus will be coverage and progress. Please organise your trips for the summer term as soon as possible. If you are not going away, half term is an ideal opportunity to visit venues etc. Hardly any trips have taken place so far this term, and I am not sure whether topics have also included any wow factors! I would expect that every year group makes at least 1 educational visit, if not more than that, before July. Remember, visits do not have to be up in London. There are local opportunities to consider. A reminder to support staff that requests for Long Service Days should be made at least two weeks prior to the date. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that your request will be agreed. For example, other people may have already booked the day, and therefore extra cover is already required. It is your entitlement to have your Long Service Days, dependent on your contract, but this is to be negotiated with the Headteacher. Enjoy a good rest.
