Document Cover : Open when loading an original document on the Platen Glass. Paper Support Paper Support Extension : Open to load paper in the Rear Tray. : Pull out to support paper loaded on the tray. : Supports paper so that it feeds properly. : Load paper here before printing. Paper feeds automatically, one sheet at a time.

Direct Print Port : Connect your PictBridge compliant device, such as a digital camera, here to print directly from it.

Paper Output Tray

: Supports the printout. Close it when you are not using it. : Supports output printouts. : Load original documents to copy or scan here.

FINE Cartridge : Install the FINE Cartridges here. Holder

FINE Cartridges (Ink Cartridges)

: A replaceable cartridge that is Print Head and ink tank integrated.

- Black FINE Cartridge: Insert it into the left slot of the ink cartridge holder. - Color FINE Cartridge: Insert it into the right slot of the ink cartridge holder.

Scanning Unit : Contains the scanner components. Open it to replace FINE Cartridges or to remove jammed paper. (Printer Cover)

Paper Thickness Lever

: Switches the clearance between the Print Head and the loaded paper to match the paper type. Adjust its position according to the type of paper you are printing on. - Left position: When printing on the paper (such as plain paper) other than an envelope/T-Shirt Transfers. - Right position: When printing on an envelope/T-Shirt Transfers.

Scanning Unit : Holds the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) when it is opened. Support

< 1 > Power Connector : Plug in the supplied power cord here. < 2 > USB Connector : Plug in the USB cable connecting the machine to a computer here.

ON/OFF button / POWER lamp

: Turns the machine on and off. Lights or flashes green to indicate the power status. : Displays the number of copies, Maintenance menu selections or the operational status.

(Light Emitting Diode) <3> <4> [ + ] button Alarm lamp : Increases the number of copies. : Lights or flashes orange when an error, such as paper-out or inkout, occurs. <5> <6> Black / Color Ink lamps : Lights or flashes to show the ink status SCAN button : Opens the MP Navigator Ex to scan a document to your computer according to the settings selected. To use this button, the machine must be connected to a computer. <7> <8> Stop / Reset button Color button : Cancels operations or a print job in progress. : Starts color copying. Also, finalizes your selection for the menu or setting item. <9> Black button : Starts black & white copying. Also, finalizes your selection for the menu or setting item. < 10 > Maintenance Button < 11 > Fit to Page button / Fit to Page lamp < 12 > Paper button : Accesses the Maintenance menu. : Enables/disables the Fit-to-Page copying. Lights when Fit-to-Page copying is enabled. : Switches the page size and media type for copying.

< 13 > Paper lamp

: Displays the selected page size and media type for copying.
