Hollow-Fiber Membranes
Quality treatment
for your critical resources
GE hollow-fiber membrane technologies offer low life-cycle costs for water filtration, wastewater treatment and reuse. Our hollow-fiber systems include ZeeWeed ultrafiltration systems and membrane bioreactor technology, ideally suited for municipal, industrial, commercial and marine applications. Low pressure membranes ZeeWeed immersed UF membrane technologies are engineered for specific applications to ensure a highly cost-effective system, optimized for your needs. They form a physical barrier against common contaminants, particles, bacteria and viruses. The systems are simple to operate, offer the highest solids tolerance and small footprints which reduce capital costs. The UF membranes also produce an ideal RO feed that improves RO membrane reliability, performance and service life. Pressurized systems The ZeeWeed 1500 provides the next generation of ZeeWeed ultrafiltration technology. Versatile and reliable, the pressurized ZeeWeed 1500 is ideally suited for numerous applications including water treatment, tertiary filtration and pretreatment for brackish and seawater desalination.
MBR systems ZeeWeed MBR is increasingly being specified as the best available technology for virtually all wastewater treatment applicationsfrom greenfield plants to retrofits to water reclamation projects. MBR systems offer several operational and economic advantages over conventional systems including extremely compact footprints, simplified operation and consistently higher quality effluent. Packaged UF plants Z-BOX* and Z-MOD* packaged plants are pre-engineered, modular systems that bring proven ZeeWeed UF technology to smaller-scale applications. Incorporating an expandable building block design, the packaged plants can be quickly set up in virtually any location and feature scalable treatment capacity that can be rapidly increased as demand grows.
Electrolytic separations from GE are making traditional ion exchange systems obsolete. Our technologies let you produce high-purity water without handling chemicals or generating hazardous waste. Electrodialysis reversal (EDR) GE electrodialysis reversal systems suit multiple applications, including: Reducing radium, arsenic, perchlorate, fluoride, nitrate, hardness, uranium and selenium in drinking water Recycling municipal and industrial wastewater Recovering reverse osmosis reject Desalting well and surface waters Desalting water for boiler makeup and other industrial uses GE systems achieve up to 94 percent water recovery while removing 40 to 90 percent of total dissolved solids. Our stacks have a long operational life and can be manually separated, cleaned and reused. Systems can handle high silica feedsup to 140 ppmreducing chemical usage and lowering costs. Our disinfection-tolerant membranes can operate with chlorine up to 0.5 ppm continuously and from 25 to 50 ppm during spikes.
Electrodeionization (EDI) EDI systems from GE deliver reliable, low-cost ultrapure water (up to 18MOhm-cm Resistivity) for multiple applications: Power generation (boiler feed and NOx control) Semiconductors Microelectronics Pharmaceuticals Food and beverage General industry Our E-Cell* technology removes not only residual salts but ionizable aqueous species, such as carbon dioxide, silica, ammonia and boron. The systems operate chemical free, achieve 95 percent water recovery and consume only electricity. Electrodialysis (ED) Food producers use our electrodialysis systems to maximize recovery of high-value products, such as reduced-minerals whey. Our flexible systems operate in a wide range of conditions, in continuous or batch modes, while generating less salt waste than conventional technologies. Our systems come fully packaged and skid-mounted for fast installation, easy start-up, and trouble-free operation. Sophisticated controls let you choose precisely the water quality you need.
Filtration
Capture more,
service less
To better protect your membrane treatment system, GE offers a line of the industry's best pre-filters. By providing the whole solution and not just portions of it, GE helps our customers extend membrane life and reduce operating costs. Our complete filter line serves numerous industrial and process applications, such as: Particulate removal RO pretreatment Organics and pathogen removal in high-purity water systems GE depth filters set new industry standards. Depth filters made with Z.Plex* technology deliver up to twice the dirt-holding capacity at a 50 percent lower pressure drop than conventional filters. This combination provides filters that last up to twice as long as other filters and provides the lowest total operating cost. Graded density Hytrex* depth filters for process and pure-water applications trap larger particles near the surface and smaller particles near the center, maximizing service life. GEs extensive depth filter line includes products to meet all your filtration needs from potable water to chemical process applications. Flotrex* and Memtrex* pleated filters combine precise micron ratings with exceptional particle holding capacity. A wide variety of membranes, construction materials and designs provides a filtration solution for high-purity and industrial uses. GEs extensive portfolio includes pleated filters for every stage of processing. Our ancillary products include a broad range of cartridge filter housings. No matter your industry, you can count on support from the global resources of the GE service network.
Spiral-Wound Membranes
Delivering quality,
