PROCEDURE
After completion of the two-coat bituplast application and clearance, the installation of ceramic fiber will take place. Check alignment of stud anchors. The first three layers will be done with 6-lbs/ ft3 ceramic fibers. (Thickness: 25mm / layer) The last two layers will be done with 8-lbs/ft3 ceramic fibers. (Thickness: 25 mm / layer) The lap over the ceramic fiber blanket will be 125 mm at the final layer as specified in the drawings. The blanket shall be parallel to the longitudinal centerline of the heater. The joints between the blankets shall be compressed by 15 mm. All the joints successive layers shall be staggered. The blankets for the exposed layer shall be overlapped one another by 150 mm. The clips to hold the blankets in position shall be fixed as indicated in the drawings. Insulation junctions requiring special overlap techniques shall be identified.
