GUIDELINES FOR SUMMER TRAINING REPORT: May 2012 INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS:

1. It is compulsory for each and every student to undergo Summer Training. 2. Summer Training takes place at the end of Semester IV.
3. The duration of Summer Training is 6-8 weeks (2 months) between June and July. 4. The organization for Summer Training should be a recognized firm (Private Ltd.

Or Public Ltd.).
5. A Summer Training Certificate is issued at the end of the training period by the

organization.
6. Students will be divided into groups and each group will be assigned a faculty

Guide for support & guidance. Each student is required to:


a. Keep continuous interactions with Faculty Guide regarding the Project

proceedings.
b. Report once in a week to your Faculty Guide personally. 7. Students undergoing Summer Training are required to submit a photocopy

of their appointment letter on the Companys Letterhead to their respective Faculty Guides along with their Report titles within a week of joining.
8. The project title can be confirmed with your Faculty Guide (for repetition). Proper

data is to be collected according to your report during the training period itself.
9. Your project report should be unique with respect to title, and project content.

No two project report of any students should be identical, in any case, as this may lead to the cancellation of both your project report.
10. Students are required to prepare their project report during the training period

itself as per the guidelines. Compile and draft the project report and get it approved by your faculty Guide before binding. 11. A presentation related with your Summer Training & Project Report is to be prepared. 12. The Project Report after the last date of submission will not be accepted.

Summer Training Certificate 1. Summer Training Certificate has to be on an original letterhead. Scanned certificates will be rejected. 2. The letterhead should bear the name of the Company, Logo, Address and Contact Details. 3. The training certificate should be signed by the Training Supervisor with his/her stamp/ companys stamp and not by any other person e.g., HR Head or any HOD of the company. 4. The Training certificate should have the name and designation of the Training Supervisor and not merely Authorized Signatory.

This project addresses the key objective of the MHRDs National Mission by providing accessible, high quality, course material at the postgraduate level in all subjects at affordable costs with technology-enabled access that will not be limited by geographic constraints
