Retrouvaille: A Lifeline for Marriage

Marriage Saving the Weekend Phase During the weekend phase of Retrouvaille (pronounced retro -vi with a long i) a series of presentations are given by a team of three couples and a priest. The team presents a technique of communication that enables you to take a good look at most areas of your relationship. After each presentation you have time in the privacy of your room to discuss the previous presentation. If your marriage suffers from disillusionment or misery please contact Retrouvaille. The next weekend will be held March 8-10, 2013 at the Ursuline Centre in Great Falls. For confidential information or to register call 800-470-2230 or 406761-4830 or email montana@retrouvaille.org. Retrouvaille is NOT just for couples whose marriage is on the verge of divorce or considered irrevocably broken. Perhaps you would like to rekindle the love of those early years or improve your communication. Visit our Montana website for emotionally moving personal testimonials. www.retrouvaillemt.org. You also can visit the International website for additional information http://www.retrouvaille.org/ To reserve the Parish Basement or other St. Marys facility, please contact Fr. Faithful Citizenship Quote

"The Catholic community is large and diverse. We are Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. We are members of every race, come from every ethnic background, and live in urban, rural, and suburban communities in all fifty states. We are CEOs and migrant farm workers, senators and persons on public assistance, business owners and union members. But all Catholics are called to a common commitment to protect human life and stand with those who are poor and vulnerable. We are all called to provide a moral leaven for our democracy, to be the salt of the earth." (Administrative Committee, US Bishops, Faithful Citizenship: A Catholic Call to Political Responsibility, 2003.)

Stewardship and Development

Stewardship Thought: Gods call is the theme in todays Scripture passages. Isaiah sees a glorious vision of God in the Temple and responds to the Lord, Here I am send me! In his First Letter to the Corinthians, St. Paul does not feel he is worthy of the call to be an apostle. After the miraculous catch proclaimed in St. Lukes Gospel, Jesus calls SimonPeter, James, and John to follow Him. They do, abandoning everything to follow Him. As faithful stewards, we, too, are encouraged to embrace Gods special call to each of us, and act out that call by using our God-given gifts of time, talent, and treasure to do His will and to build His Kingdom. Development Thought: The generous 40% Montana Endowment Tax Credit sunsets this year. Dont wait to take advantage of this unique incentive to support our parish through an endowment gift in 2013. Please contact Judy Held in the Office of Stewardship and Development to assist you (800-332-9998, ext. 120 or stewardship@dioceseofgfb.org). You may also choose to support the Seminarian Education Endowment or Priests Retirement Endowment, both very important needs within our diocese. God bless you and thanks!

Black and Indian Missions Collection

Did you know that the Diocese of Great FallsBillings receives funding from the Black and Indian Missions office each year for parishes and ministries right here in Eastern Montana? Their generosity helps our diocese fund churches and schools at Rocky Boy, Ft. Belknap, Hays, Poplar, Wolf Point, Frazer and provide assistance to urban schools educating Native American children, such as in Great Falls. The grants our Diocese receives would not be possible without our giving support to the annual Black and Indian Mission appeal, on February 16 & 17. Please consider giving to this cause this year, as it not only helps people throughout our country, but comes back home to help many of us in our Diocese. Confessions: Saturdays 4 - 5 p.m., 1/2 hour before daily Mass (Mon.- Fri.) or by appointment Anointing of the Sick: Please contact Father Cory as soon as possible for anointing. Baptism: Normally celebrated at Sunday Mass. Parental sessions are required. Marriages: Six month couple preparation period required. Please contact Fr. Cory before scheduling marriage date.

Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information!
