You are provided with three terminal temperature sensor IC LM 35 or LM 335 which provides output of 10 MV/oC. using this IC design and build ON/OFF type temperature controller circuit to regulate the temperature of the given system at _______________ oC with hysteresis of + 1 oC (Time: 4 Hours) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI M.Sc. (Part I) PHYSICS (Practical) EXAMINATION APRIL, 2012 Group D Paper II Waveform Generator Using ICS Candidate No D-2 Design and build a square and triangular wave generator using a feedback op of a non-inverting type comparator and an integrator using OPAMPs ___________ , for a period of _____________ sec. Observe the outputs using a dual trace C.R.O. and measure the period of output. Measure the period and peak to peak amplitude of the outputs for 3 ferent values of __ a) Feedback factor B of the non-inverting comparator and b) Time constant of integrator. Convert the triangular wave into a sine wave either using an active low ss filter or an active diode shaper. Comment on the results.

UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI M.Sc. (Part I) PHYSICS (Practical) EXAMINATION APRIL, 2012 Group D Paper II Instrumentation Amplifier Candidate No D-3 Design and construct an instrumentation amplifier, using three 7410P-AMPs. Trim the amplifier for offset nulling. a) Determine gain and CMRR for various d.c. input voltages. b) Use this amplifier to measure current through a floating resistive load of 100 connected in series with the + 5 volts dc voltage source on one side and an LDR on the other side. Measure the signal when no light falling on LDR and when LDR is exposed to room light, i.e ambient light. Hence calculate the current in each case.
