To integrate any Web Dy npro ABAP application in SAP Enterprise Portal Integration in Web
Portal, we need to follow below steps. Dy npro for ABAP

Defining the sy stem in the SAP Enterprise Portal sy stem


landscape. To access Web AS from EP, we need hav e a
sy stem already defined or we need to create a new one FO LLO W ER S
Creating a New Sy stem: This is done by choosing
Sy stem Administration → Sy stem Configuration → Join this site
w ith Google Friend Connect
Sy stem Landscape.
Defining the mapping between portal users and users in the
prev iously defined ABAP sy stem.
For testing purposes, it is easiest to map the portal
user to a user in the backend sy stem. Choose User
Administration → Identity Management. Enter y our
portal user name in the input field and click on Go. Already a member? Sign in

Select the newly created folder, right click New→
iV iew from the contex t menu.
Select the iV iew template radio button, it opens a
wizard in that select SAP Web Dy npro iV iew. Then Do
Nex t, enter the Name and ID for the iV iew.
On the nex t page, choose ABAP to select Web Dy npro
ABAP iV iew ty pe.
Finally , we hav e to prov ide application parameters
like, the sy stem alias has to be entered in the Sy stem
field. 'SAP' is the default Namespace. This v alue will
be added to the path to the Web Dy npro application.
The Web Dy npro application name has to be entered
in the Application Name field.
After hav ing finished the iV iew generation, the result
can be checked by choosing Prev iew from the
contex t menu of the iV iew.

Combining different iV iews that hav e to interact v ia the
portal using a portal page.
Create a Portal page and its content. first choose
Content Administration → Portal Content. On the
Browse tab, localize the node that should be used as
the page's parent node. Create a portal page from the
contex t of the node for this chooseNew → Node. Nex t
Screen, enter the Name and ID of the page.
Nex t page offers two page templates: Default Page
Template and Web Dy npro Prox y Page. Choose the
Default Page Template, since Web Dy npro Prox y Page
only works for Jav a Web Dy npro.
Nex t, the page lay out has to be defined. To display
two iV iews, one below the other, choose 1 Column
(Full Width). Choose Add, then Nex t. To adjust the
properties of the page and to assign the iV iews, select
Open the object for editing on the nex t screen.
Choose OK.
On the right side, a list of the iV iews that are already
embedded in the portal page appears. To add another
iV iew to the page, choose Add iV iew to Page → Delta
Link from the contex t menu of the iV iew to be
embedded. By switching from Page Content to Page
Lay out, the resulting structure of the page can be
analy zed.
The last step in creating the page is to adapt the
page.s properties. There are properties related to the
page object and there are properties related to the

embedded iV iews.
1 . An important group of properties is the Property
Category Appearence Size. For the portal page, the
Height Ty pe should be adjusted to Full Page. For the
single iV iews, this property should be adjusted to
Automatic so the iV iew's height depends on the space
the Web Dy npro application occupies.
2. Y ou can test the result by choosing Prev iew, which
can be found on top of the tab page.
Adding the portal page to a portal role to make it usable by
user groups to which this role is assigned.
