Purpose Use this procedure to create a logical grouping of cost elements for use in reporting and/or postings. Trigger Perform this procedure when the need exists for a new cost element group for posting settlement or reporting. Prerequisites Know the range or listing of cost elements to be grouped

Menu Path Use the following menu path to begin this transaction: Select SAP R/3 System Accounting Controlling Cost Element Accounting Master Data Cost Element Group KAH1 Create to go to the Create Cost element group: Initial Screen.

Transaction Code KAH1 Helpful Hints You can create a group by listing the cost elements individually or by specifying a range of cost elements within the new group.

Procedure

Begin using this transaction one of three ways: enter the transaction code into the Command field, select the transaction from your Favorites folder, or navigate to the transaction through the SAP menu.

Enter the transaction code in the Command field and click transaction name. or double-click on the

As required, complete/review the following fields: Cost element group .

As required, complete/review the following fields: Cost Element Group Name

Clicking pulls up the unnamed fields used to list the cost elements that are included in the new cost element group.

to validate entries.
