Reading Assignments for Neurophysiology and Integrative Physiology Module

(from February 5 March 25, 2013) Corrected Version

For most Neurophysiology Topics, William F. Ganong, Review of Medical Physiology (20th - 22nd editions), or even the 23RD edition is highly recommended as it covers most of the lecture topics in concise form. Corresponding chapters in Guyton, Textbook of Medical Physiology (11TH or 12th Edition) is a very good alternative. (Think twice before printing this out in 8.5 x 11 long bond paper to minimize your carbon footprint; use scratch paper if necessary). Please review notes/ handouts in Electrophysiology I (Resting membrane and Action Potentials), Electrophysiologyy II ( Synaptic Transmission), Autonomic Nervous System, and Muscle Physiology taken up in the 1st semester.. * * Pre-lecture handouts of D.G. Simbulan, Jr. will be distributed at least 2 weeks before the lecture session. The following topics are handled b y D.G. Simbulan, Jr. unless otherwise indicated below.
