Craige Works All Rights Reserved During the rule of the antichrist Roman Catholic Government around 1500, Martin Luther, John Calvin, and others protested against the Roman Catholic Church/Government and began to rebel by studying the scriptures for themselves. Luther published the 95 Thesis which listed 95 ways the church was not in line with true scripture. As they were being persecuted for not supporting the Roman Catholic way, they began to study the word more and more and they began to discover more and more who Christ was and who Antichrist was. Ralph Woodrow stated "There are 2 great truths that stand out in the preaching that brought about the protestant reformation: The just shall live by faith, not by works of Romanism, and the Papacy is the Antichrist of Scripture. The preaching of the truth will always trump the lie eventually and it was no dierent for the reformers. Just as John the Baptist caused thousand of Jews to walk away from the corruption of the Pharisees, and 11 men armed with the truth of Jesus Christ turned the world upside down, the truth that the reformers began to teach stirred up major controversy and issues for the Papacy of Rome. People began to see them for the antichrist that they were once they got a hold of the truth in scripture for themselves. Because of the power of the preaching by the reformers and because they were able to interpret biblical prophecy in real time concerning the antichrist, little horn, the beast and the great whore, the enemy attacked them with everything he had. Their followers were killed, tortured, burned, massacred, and constantly at war with the papal government because of their beliefs. In 1545 the counter reformation started and the council of Trent was convened. This famous council was! created to develop a strategy to counteract the reformers. The leaders of the vatican came together and decided that instead of burning bibles and people, which only further made them look like antichrist, they would create a special militant operation that would do warfare on a much higher scale in the name of the pope. Ignatius of Loyola founded the Society of Jesus or the Jesuits. This highly secretive and militant Catholic order has been known throughout history as the most wicked arm of the Roman Catholic Church. During the council of Trent they decided to change theology and introduce false end time doctrines and interpretations of scripture to take the focus of the antichrist o the Papacy and place it in dierent times of history. Two Jesuit Priest were commissioned to create these false theories. Luis de Alcasar of Seville and Francisco Ribera of Salamanca. Their basic strategy was diversion. If they could divert the antichrist beast warnings of Jesus, John, and Daniel to other times in history, it would cause the people to label the antichrist as something or someone else other than the current Papacy or Roman Catholic Church. Alcasar put the bible's antichrist in the past, while Ribera put the biblical antichrist in the future. Even though their views contradicted each other, they became the ocial positions of the roman catholic church. The Jesuit Alcasar created the Preterist method of interpretation to show the prophecies of antichrist were fullled before the Popes ever ruled Rome so the antichrist in scripture could not be the papacy rule. And the Jesuit Ribera created the futurist system which makes the prophecies refer to a future, supernatural individual who will rule for 3 1/2 years after the church has been raptured and before the second coming of Christ. 1 Ribera even published a commentary on Revelations to seal the deal.

PRETERISM Preterism is what Luis de Alcasar taught. Its prex, pre, points back to the past. Preterism sees the majority (or all) of the prophecies found in Matthew 24 and the Book of Revelation as having already been fullled in either the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. or in the fall or Rome. For preterists, the end of the world usually means the end of the Jewish world. Traditionall-preterists believe the second coming of Jesus Christ occurred in 70 A.D., whereas partial-preterists still believe in a future, literal return of the Savior. Concerning the core issuewho is the antichrist?preterists usually see the Roman Emperor Nero as the number-one candidate. Compared with futurism and historicism, preterism has always been a minority viewpoint within the church, yet it is now making increased inroads into 21st century Christianity. Preterism strategically removes the little horn! stigma away from the Vatican. Jesuit objective achieved. FUTURISM is what Francisco Ribera taught. In contrast to preterism, futurism usually sees the majority of Revelations prophecies (from chapter 4 onward) as yet on the horizon. Concerning the antichrist, instead of preterisms application to Nero in the past, futurism generally applies the prophecies of the little horn, the man of sin, and the beast to a single, yet-future leader. Compared to preterism and historicism, futurism is the most common theory taught in protestant churches today. As with preterism, futurisms net result is that it also signicantly removes the idea of the beast being the papacy with the Jesuit objective achieved again. HISTORICISM is what the vast majority of Protestants used to teach. In essence, historicism teaches straight-forward, chronological progression by saying that the major prophecies of Daniel and Revelation nd fulllment throughout Christian history while pointing toward the climactic, visible second coming of our Savior. Historicism also places special emphasis on the ongoing struggle between Jesus Christ and satan inside the Christian church.

This antichrist system controls governments, religions, and leaders from all walks of life and is still the richest and most powerful religious movement our world has seen. We must beware of end time lies and those that have submitted to the Roman Catholic Church. After all, if Catholicism is antichrist, then those that follow after her are guilty of betraying Jesus as well. 1Tim. 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some sha" depart #om the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
