Orthodox Christian Gnosis means that the goal of the Christian life is not just to

have Faith in God, but to Know God. Gnosis means Divine Knowledge or Wisdom.

Thus, the Baltimore Catechism states that the purpose of a human being is to “Know,

love, and serve, God.” This is Christian Gnosis.

A certain confusion arises because there is also a form of Gnosticism which is

Satanic, and which has been condemned as heresy. The Gnostic heresy states that

Creation is Evil and that God is Evil too. Thus, the idea is that all of our problems can be

blamed on God and not us.

The Orthodox Christian response to Satanic Gnosticism is that Creation by God

was Good, and that Creation became flawed because Eve at the Fruit of the Conventional

Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden and then tricked Adam into doing the

same thing. The Evil of this Conventional Morality soon also became Conventional

Reality as the Meaning of the Original Sin of Conventional Morality became injected

into the Quantum Field and created a Flawed Universe. Thus, Jesus Christ incarnated to

make it possible to choose genuine Reason and Wisdom rather than relativistic

convention which is evil. Some persons, who are conventional are still mired in Original

Sin and tend to be Satanists or religious fundamentalists. These Satanists and

fundamentalists are at war with the Gnostic Christian Church which is not based upon

inauthentic authority, but instead is based upon Reason and Wisdom.
