A Serious Affair- Professional Corporate Photographic and Vidiographic Team

We, Rowan Wilkinson of Colour Pixel Adventure Photography and Tony Smith of Tony
Smith Photography have joined forces to operate as a team in the Drakensberg under
the name “A serious Affair”. Collectively we bring together more than 40 years of
experience of serving the photographic needs of Commerce and Industry in Southern
Africa. Whilst the bulk of our assignments are undertaken in KwaZulu Natal, we
undertake commissions throughout Southern Africa, having also completed numerous
contracts and shoots abroad. Our expertise, in-house services, printing facilities
and equipment cover the full spectrum of corporate Photographic and Videographic
requirements, and we have for many years successfully served an extensive client
base, all of whom are more than willing to have enquiries as to our capability
referred to them.
Film or Digital?
We currently work in both mediums and all formats (35mm, medium and large). Until
recently all aerial work and certain more demanding requirements necessitated the
use of film. The quality of high-end digital imaging is however improving at a
dramatic rate, so much so that we anticipate working almost exclusively in Digital
in the not too distant future. We would stress though that the options are
completely the prerogative of the client. As the dynamics of the industry change,
so will the manner in which we carry out assignments, and to this end we would
quote specifically on each assignment request.
Fees
Our current scale of fees fall well within the guidelines of the Institute of
South African Professional Photographers with whom we are affiliated. Whatever
your requirements, give us a call, let's discuss the work and we will tailor a
program to suit your purpose and budget.
Website
As our team website is currently under construction we are attaching a page of
examples of our work. Should you wish further examples please contact us; we will
be happy to assist.
We handle all the conference group photographs, award evenings and team building
for the hotels in the Drakensberg. Groups include the first ever Springbok family
photograph, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Absa, Eli Lilly, S.A.H.I.P, Barlo World,
Johnson and Johnson, Roche and many more.
We concentrate on poses as well as natural candid photographs and have an ability
to be flexible in our style of photography.

We recently acquired a mobile studio and charge a lighting fee rate and it is well
worth the extra cost to have formal and informal pictures of the event.

With the recent developments in the digital field of photography we can now shoot
in the Raw Format. This requires post processing and is far superior to the JPG
format that camera manufacturers used to offer in their camera software. This Raw
Format requires post manipulation and we have collaborated with various
photographic labs to print to our speck.
A standard that is now set amongst photographers is to charge for post processing
which takes many hours of work to complete.
If digital is used, there are no additional charges of film or developing costs.
However there are post processing charges for converting images from the Raw
Format.

Thank you so much for the high quality work you did from our last conference we
had at Champagne's Sports.
We need you again. Please quote me again as we will be doing another conference in
Alpine Heath for the abovemention dates but I need you only for Monday 14 August
from 16H00 when we will have activities going on that needs capturing till 17:30
