Electricity from Biomass

The G.E.K. Power Pallet Biomass Gasier

The G.E.K. Power Pallet is a compact power generator that uses wood chips, nut shells and other commonly found agricultural and forest waste to generate electric power. The G.E.K. Power Pallet is an integrated system that consists of a biomass gasier, a gas engine, a generator and a sophisticated digital controller. It can produce up to 20kW. The G.E.K. Power Pallet generates electricity with biomass ONLY, no diesel or petrol.

Benefits

Uses
Pumps, wells and boreholes Food processing Refrigerated warehousing Cell towers, radio stations Small industrial commercial- (such as welding shops) Hospitals and clinics (especially to keep vaccines cold) Government: Remote military and civilian facilities Rural electrification through Micro grids and many others. Diesel: $0.35-0.50kWh Biomass: $0.02-0.04kWh

Low cost electricity
Electricity can be generated from biomass for as low as US$0.020.04 per kWh. Generating with diesel is much more expensive. In addition, the cost of similar generating capacity 10-20kW with solar or wind is prohibitively expensive without subsidies.

The Business Advantage

The G.E.K. is designed as a solution for the needs of small enterprises.

Cost-competitive Simple to operate and train Consumes small amounts of biomass,

so the business owner can focus on running the business, not collecting biomass.

High Availability

The GEK is designed for small enterprises who need reliable power. The GEK generates electricity as long as it is fed with biomass, and performs like a diesel for continuous operation. Unlike solar or wind power, it is not affected by cloud coverage, or wind strength

Electricity in remote areas

The GEK Power Pallet is a distributed generation device. It works where theres no electric grid or diesel, and produces very cheap power using local agricultural and forest waste.

Engine selection

The G.E.K. Gasier is offered with the following engines to meet a range of performance needs. For detailed specication sheets please visit our web site.

10kW medium duty An excellent combination of value and performance. This v-twin cylinder engine is built to last it features 4-cycle, OHV, cast iron cylinder liners, and aluminum block construction. High Power Performance: overhead valve technology provides greater volumetric efciency and a higher compression ratio. This produces more power, improved fuel economy and cooling and reduces oil consumption. The variable speed, mechanical governor promises smooth performance, regardless of application or uctuating demands for power. Durable, Long Life Design: Hydraulic valve lifters are oil pressurized, ensuring that push rods stay in constant contact with the rocker arms. Requiring no adjustment, the valve train is virtually maintenance-free. In addition, full-pressure lubrication delivers continuous lube to critical engine components, and integrated oil cooler is mounted under the cylinder cover for a compact engine prole and superior cooling.

10kW heavy duty The Kubota engine delivers High Power Density and High Power Quality in a robust, long-lasting and compact package. Kubotas engines enjoy a reputation for reliability and longevity in a wide variety of applications. This 3-cylinder inline gas engine is based on the companys acclaimed diesel engines, and is designed to meet the toughest industrial challenges. The new combustion chamber, designed exclusively for the gas engine, effectively reduced both emissions and noise.

20kW heavy duty Ford Powered 20 kW gas engine and Generator is an 1800 RPM setup that has plenty of power to run a business. This unit includes a Ford DSG423 2.3L 4 cylinder inline, electronic governor (0.5% frequency control), electronic ignition control module, cast iron crankcase with reborable liners, cool ow radiator w/ fan guards, critical-type exhaust silencer, steel skid base w/ vibration isolators (for smooth operation), brushless generator end w/ automatic voltage regulation and control panel with turn-key start and hourmeter.
