The following points have been discussed regarding the Electrical requirements for the Hengam Offshore Development Project which have concluded to the following minimum specification to be observed by the EPC contractor in Basic and Detail Engineering.

DESCRIPTION
Electrical Distribution Network shall be 33KV and designed in a completely RING topology which will contain 4 Nodes including WHP1, WHP2, WHP3 and Onshore. As shown in enclosed Drawing, at onshore landfall the outgoing Cable Run will go to WHP2 and the incoming cable Run will come from the WHP3. WHP1 platform on the RING will be located between WHP2 and WHP3.

As shown in attached drawing each platform shall be equipped with two 33KV / 400V Hermetically Sealed, Full Filled ( filled with Silicon type oil ), Transformers equipped with DGPT2 protection device One spare Circuit Breaker and two Trolleys shall be provided for each platform. Its emphasized that each Switch Gear shall be of Withdraw-able type. The electrical submarine cable shall as a minimum be of the type WET SINGLE-ARMOURED, 3150mm2 and 33KV. The minimum distance between two rounds of submarine electrical cable shall be 200 meters. The followings are the minimum requirements to be considered in design of AC and DC UPS AC UPS : 2100+1100 8 Hour Synchronized DC UPS : 2100+250 6 Hour Synchronized AC and DC UPS shall be utilized for providing 220 Vac and 110 Vdc. Each platform is required to be equipped with two 100 percent CONTINUOUS RUN diesel generators and necessary synchronization instruments. The Onshore Electrical Distribution Network should utilize 7 Single core cable ( 1 core as spare ) preferably of the burial type which will be tied-in with marine cable using splitter box at landfall IPS-E-EL-100(1) as attached shall be the standard to be followed in transformer calculation and selection. The Overall Single Line Diagram to be followed by the EPC contractor has been attached.
