Algebra 2 Honors

(revised 9/30/09)

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The purpose of Algebra 2 Honors is to extend students knowledge and understanding of Algebraic skills in preparation for the Geometry Honors course as well as lay the foundation for the Pre-Calculus Honors course to follow. Students will be given the opportunity to apply their critical thinking skills in conjunction with their algebraic skills and todays mathematical technology to solve unfamiliar problems. Students will be introduced to a new language and a variety of mathematical topics which will result in a greater appreciation for the method of problem solving.
