Employees of NIFT are not exempted from payment of examination fee. Note:i) ii) iii) Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Demand draft should have been drawn on or after publication of the advertisement. Candidates must write his / her name, address and post applied for, on back of the demand draft.

Scheme of Examination:The written test for all the posts mentioned above will be based on qualification requirements in respective competencies. The written test will be followed by Presentation and Interview of the shortlisted candidates. The Institute reserves the right to admit only that many candidates as considered necessary for Presentation and Interview based on the performance of candidates in the written test.

How to apply:Application forms can be downloaded from NIFT website. Applications in the prescribed proforma should be addressed to Registrar (Establishment), National Institute of Fashion Technology, NIFT Campus, Hauz Khas, Near Gulmohar Park, New Delhi-110016 and

superscribed Application for the post of ___________ on the envelope. Attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of age/educational qualifications/caste/experience etc. should be attached with the application form. The Demand draft drawn in favour of NIFT should be attached with the application form. The demand draft should not be tagged or stapled but should be pinned or clipped at the top of the application form. While applying for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, candidates should mention their competency code as per the Table A. Those candidates who are employed in Govt/Semi Govt/Autonomous Bodies etc. should send their applications through Proper Channel. However, they may send an advance copy of their application alongwith Demand Draft and other certificates and testimonials so as to reach this office on or before the scheduled date. The date and venue of the examination shall be informed later.

General Conditions:
1. The candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for the post. Their admission to the various stages of the recruitment process will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligible conditions. Mere issue of admit card by the NIFT to the candidate shall not imply that he/she completely fulfills the eligibility conditions for appearing in the recruitment process and his/her candidature has been finally accepted by the institute The institute will take up the verification of eligibility conditions w.r.t. original documents only after the candidate has qualified the selection process 2. Mere fulfilling of essential qualifications and experience requirement would not entail a candidate to be called for test or interview. No correspondence will be entertained from the applicant either before or after the selection. The decision of the Institute would be final. 3. Incomplete/unsigned applications and applications received without fee, photograph, certified copies of required certificates such as educational qualifications, caste/community etc., statement of objectives and those received after the prescribed last date for receipt of application, will summarily be rejected without any communication to the candidate. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 4. The Institute reserves the right to consider candidates for selection by suitable selection procedure and at its discretion may conduct interview / written test /skill test for above posts to select the candidates on the basis of merit. 5. NIFT will not be responsible for any postal delay / loss in transit in submission of application within specified time. 6. Wrong declarations/submissions of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage. 7. Eligibility requirements for post of Professor

1. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) invites application in the prescribed proforma for the posts of Professors in the pay scale of `. 37400-67000/-+ `. 8700(Grade Pay) plus usual allowances and perks, on contract basis, for teaching, research and training in Design, Management and Technology at Mumbai, Bangaluru, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Chennai, Patna, Raebareli, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar, Shillong, Kannur, Kangra, Bhopal 2. Age- Upto 50 years (Maximum age limit relaxable upto 7 years in case of NIFT employees and upto 5 years for deserving candidates possessing higher educational qualifications / experience) 3. Persons possessing the following qualification and experience are eligible : Qualification Experience

UG/PG Diploma/Degree in relevant area ( as per Total Minimum relevant experience required: table A) from a recognized institute or University of national /international repute, with 4-years UG Diploma/degree 15 years ( +1 required years of relevant experience in year if its a 3-year UG degree/diploma) teaching/ research/ industry of which at least 5 years must be at the level of Associate professor 2 years PG Diploma/degree 12 years (+1 and (or) equivalent to NIFT pay scales for the year if duration < 2 year) cadre. Application forms can be downloaded from the website. Candidates should indicate their Competency Code as per Table A in their application form. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification and experience as indicated against each code provided above. The prescribed educational qualification /experience is minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidate to be called for selection process. The UG Diploma /Degree and PG Diploma /Degree shall be of atleast 3 years /4 years and 2 years duration respectively. All Degrees and Diplomas prescribed for the teaching positions shall be a full time course from Institute of National/Internationals repute. Preference will be given to candidates possessing combination (s) of prescribed qualification (s) as mentioned on the website.
