Practices Ben Razi is a litigation partner in our Washington office whose

College of Law, J.D., 2000 Miner of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr.
Fordham University, B.A., 1997 Razi received his J.D., summa cum laude, from American
University and his B.A. from Fordham University.

University into alleged use of excessive force by campus
police officers during October 2006 student protests.
Representing a major manufacturing company in
comprehensive insurance coverage litigation relating to
defense, settlement, and judgment costs incurred in
connection with tens of thousands of underlying asbestos
products liability lawsuits.
Represented Wall Street brokerage firm Jefferies &
Company, Inc., in recent SEC and NASD investigations
relating to client entertainment and gifts.
Represented Defendants in United States ex rel. Taylor v.
Gabelli , No. 03 Civ. 8762 (PAC) (GWG) (S.D.N.Y.), a
high-profile, recent False Claims Act case, involving a
precedent-setting damages ruling favorable to our clients.
Represented Los Alamos National Laboratory and other
clients in numerous congressional investigations.

PRO BONO
Won favorable settlement for Plaintiff in Brennan v. United
States , Civil Action No. 4:06cv37 (E.D. Va.), a wrongful
death lawsuit under the Federal Tort Claims Act stemming
from death of Plaintiff’s husband while in a Veterans
Administration hospital. Government admitted liability and
made substantial monetary payment to settle case.
Defended numerous clients facing criminal charges in
Maryland State courts, including in a jury trial involving
drug distribution charges.
