Hillary Millecam Romney Campaign

Situation Analysis Dependent on which poll you read, Mitt Romney is behind between 2 to 12 % in Michigan, his home state. There is a Michigan primary is in a week on the 28 th. The sense is that if he loses his home state, it will not only be embarrassing but also put an end to his candidacy. Some potential obstacles include the following: Romney adamantly opposed the bailout for GM and Chrysler. Companies have shown largest profits ever, pre-bailout GM was significantly smaller. Mitt Romney opposed the 81 billion given to GM, he said to let the market work it out and to let them fail if it happens. GM is the biggest industry in Michigan, lots of jobs, Romney is glad that it still worked out, but there are still many lost jobs still because hundreds of dealerships closed down. Another issue is that Santorum is more conservative than Romney, and Santorum is leading in Republican primaries because the registered Republicans prefer more conservative nominees. Those who oppose him say he is not conservative enough. Conservative is defined as the most-unlike President Obama in ideology and philosophy. Santorum is now close to Romney in the polls to beat Obama, but Romney has a better electability.
