Gunung Datuk, standing at a height of 884m (2900ft), is located near Rembau in the state of Negeri Sembilan.

It is a trek highly recommended for beginners as the trail is fairly straightforward and well marked and there is only one clear path leading all the way to the peak. It's well-trodden and pretty wide, so trekkers should not get lost nor get tangled with thorny plants. The best part of the trek is at the summit. There is no beirut, nor muddy ground, nor tall trees and bushy shrubs to block one's view. Formed by several gigantic granite boulders, trekkers will need to climb up huge boulders that are stacked up on top of one another. No rock climbing skills are needed as there will be ladders tied to the boulders. Once on top of the summit, trekkers will be rewarded with the best part of the trip, which is a 360 degree unobstructed panorama view of the Straits of Malacca and the Seremban town on a clear fine day.
