(St.

Augustine Church, Barberton, OH) (January 20, 2013)

Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Todays gospel recounts the story of the wedding feast at Cana. Christ is present in every marriage covenant, to bring hope and to take what is good and make it better. This is a fitting time for families to celebrate the marriages of their members, to honor their commitment and Christs presence in their lives and to talk positively about the vocation of Matrimony. Living Faith in January: John 2:1-11 Proclaim his marvelous deeds to all the nations. (Ps 96) What fruits of the Spirit do you use in your daily life? Who is the Spirit prompting you to call forward to use their gifts? What types of meditations do you use in your life when you think about the fruits of the Spirit? 320 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us. Looking for a way to strengthen your spiritual life? Jesus has a plan, simply call Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926. What a wonderful start. (Insert Graphic 2404-0062.tif) Coffee and Donuts will be in the school cafeteria today Sunday, January 20 following the 8:00 & 10:30 Masses. Please take a moment to share conversation and a sweet treat before beginning your busy week. __________________________________________________

St. Augustine Culture of Life is joining with Right to Life of Northeast Ohio and dozens of area churches in the annual Signature Media Campaign. Volunteers will be in the back of the church accepting signatures and donations for the unborn in a protest against legalized abortion. Your signature will be on a petition for life which will be sent to our legislators, and your donations will support pro-life multimedia education. If you prefer, envelopes are available in the pews for you to fill out and include your donation rather than signing the petition forms. Envelopes should be returned by placing them in the collections basket by January 27, 2013. Thank you for helping us Build a Culture of Life!
