I. Name of the business

Fashion is a general term for a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing or furniture. "Fashion" refers to a distinctive; however, often-habitual trend in a look and dress up of a person, as well as to prevailing styles in behavior. "Fashion" usually is the newest creations made by designers and are bought by only a few number of people; however, often those "fashions" are translated into more established trends. The more technical term, "costume," has become so linked in the public eye with the term "fashion" that the more general term "costume" has in popular use mostly been relegated to special senses like fancy dress or masquerade wear, while the term "fashion" means clothing generally, and the study of it. For a broad cross-cultural look at clothing and its place in society, refer to the entries for clothing, costume, and fabrics.

According to archaeologists and anthropologists, the earliest clothing likely consisted of fur, leather, leaves, or grass that were draped, wrapped, or tied around the body. Knowledge of such clothing remains inferential, since clothing materials deteriorate quickly compared to stone, bone, shell and metal artifacts. Archeologists have identified very early sewing needles of bone and ivory from about 30,000 BC, found near Kostenki, Russia in 1988. Dyed flax fibers that could have been used in clothing have been found in a prehistoric cave in the Republic of Georgia that date back to 36,000 BP.

I came up with the business name WEAR-EVER it relies with the word WHEREEVER because I believe that the cloths Im about to produce with my business can be used wherever you are and whatever status your within. You can make use of it as a casual wear or formal wear. Basically, this name can catch the attention of consumers because of its optimistic loom.

II. Introduction

Our business is involved with clothing industry or the so called FASHION INDUSTRY. Nowadays, our world is rapidly changing as a result, individuals with different personality and behaviors are getting more competitive as well as different firms that producing goods in the vein of cloths and RTWs. Theres a proverb that states this phrase what you are, is what you wear. The cloths youre wearing is what describes you it gives you identity, uniqueness and mark; its the outlet of your expression, the meaning of you and reveals what you are, what group are you belong; its your status and prestige. Philippines is one of the countries that are engaged with fashion statements we have many clothing lines, boutiques, apparel and garments that are well known throughout the country.

A business like this needs ample amount of capital that can be allocated easily with the people whom you know that is willing to help or interested to finance your business.

The payback period takes a while but not long enough to return what you have invested. This business is all about creativity, innovation, versatility, determination, information, personality and professionalism.

Sometimes depending on the needs of market we need the services of a subcontractor or to become a sub-contractor. Being in a sub-contractual operation you are committed to meet the satisfaction and needs of your clients.

A sub contractor is devoted to stick by the rules and regulations of the client but before producing the product mostly the clients are the one who can dictate the contract but sub contractors on the other hand can give some conditions and request regarding cash advance and adjustments on due dates of the delivery. Focusing on product differentiation and cost of production can get the ideal cash inflow and outflow of the business.

III. MARKETING STUDY

What kind of product are we selling?

The first product that Im about to launch is a sleeveless blouse with plain and checkered combination of fabrics. And hopefully more products can be produce in the future that would compliment my designs for a classic and elegant modern chic and fabulous woman, then eventually for men as well.

Why did we choose this product to sell?

Generally, cloths are one of the basic needs of a person. Theres always a new trend for it that most of the population are willing to buy just to fit in and go with the flow. Basically we chose to concentrate on womens clothing because women tend to buy our products by impulse and of course women practically always in charge of buying things in a family.

When is the best time to sell our products?

It is a common knowledge that during Christmas season or New Year Season is the best time to sell our product due to gift giving practices, but the truth is clothing products are not depended on seasons, as I mention before as a basic needs clothes are sellable, sometimes a good marketing can generate buyers even out of season, or even out of reason, we just only

need to know, whats the latest trend, or sometime we need to create the trend.

Where is the best place to sell our product?

This depends on what kind of product, as a manufacturer we can chose items to be sold in a particular location. For example we could sell HiEnd Products in a Malls, Department Stores, Boutiques, while we could sell Low-End Products on bazaars, or exhibits, and if we tend to sell both Hi-End and Low-End Products we can use on line sites.

How can we advertise our product?

We can use the latest technology using the internet, flyers, endorsements, radios, billboards, newspapers, and magazines.

Who are the suitable persons that may buy our products?

Specifically, female teenagers can buy our product within the age bracket of 15 years old onwards.

IV. Technical Study

Procedure: Step 1: You have to buy the things to be needed in producing the cloth like: Fabrics, Threads, and Buttons. Step 2: Making the pattern using a carton or Manila paper to be the guide in cutting of fabrics. Marking the fabric using a white pencil or a pencil to get ready for the cutting. Step 3: Spread the fabrics on the cutting table then cut it. After that you can segregate it by the colors and sizes. Step 4: Sewing of fabrics. There are two ways on finishing a garment: the operational or per piece. Step 5: All finish products must undergo in the process of trimming and quality checking to make sure if the product is not damaged or reject.

Time to finish the product: The time allotted in cutting the fabrics is just one whole day but it depends on the quantity.

The time allotted in sewing of fabrics is more than a week but per day sewers can produce 15 pieces out put per person. Example, 15 x 5 sewers is equivalent to 75 pieces of output or finish product per day base on the blouses only.

Quality checking of the finish product consumes only 3 to 5 days depending on how the product is packed.

VI. Objectives

To learn and understand the target market of our company.

11

To determine the opportunities in gaining potential markets and its quality impact in the field of producing product and affordable price.

To be able to earn profit from the products of our company through the customers.

VII. Implications

Problems:

12

a.) Long term payments of the client.

b.) Rejects and damages in the finish product.

c.) Provisions of the wages for the laborers.

Alternative Course of Action:

If the client has a long term payments, we need to provide all the expenses required to finish the product. Sometimes we request cash advance to reduce the expenses.

Using the resourcefulness and influences we will buy the same fabric of course with affordable price and make a finish product just to avoid any deduction.

Labors sometimes want cash advance with this situation we can get money from the capital fund.
